Naoshima
  • Naoshima is the center of the Setouchi Triennale, with iconic works such as the Chichu Art Museum designed by Tadao Ando and the red pumpkin sculpture by Yayoi Kusama
  • Private car service, departing from Dotonbori, Osaka, no need to change trains, comfortable and convenient
  • Staff who can speak Chinese, English and Japanese are available throughout the trip

What to expect

The Setouchi Triennale, held every three years, spans 12 islands in Japan's Setouchi Inland Sea and the two major ports of Takamatsu and Uno. It is one of the most influential art festivals in Asia today. This event, with the concept of "island regeneration", attracted artists from all over the world to transform the quiet island into a hotbed of creativity through installation art, architectural design and multicultural activities!

  • Naoshima: Since the 1990s, the Benesse Group has been actively promoting art projects on Naoshima, gradually creating the art island it is today. Naoshima is the center of the art festival, with iconic works such as the Chichu Art Museum designed by Tadao Ando and the red pumpkin sculpture by Yayoi Kusama.
  • Naoshima's main art areas can be divided into three areas:
  1. Art Museum: Chichu Art Museum/Lee Ufan Art Museum/Benis House
  2. Honmura Area: The "House Project" transforms traditional houses into art spaces, providing visitors with a unique art experience
  3. Miyaura District: Naoshima I♥ Yu / Setouchi Museum / Yayoi Kusama Red Pumpkin
  • Naoshima's transportation options are limited, mainly relying on bus routes. However, due to the limited frequency and number of seats, it is difficult to book a taxi. It is recommended that you move on foot to explore the beautiful scenery of this small island.
  • The tour will be accompanied by Chinese, English and Japanese staff
  • This tour fee does not include tickets for the Setouchi Triennale 2025 and other related events, which need to be purchased separately
  • It is recommended that you plan your free time after arriving on Naoshima in advance and make reservations for tickets in advance to ensure a smooth journey and make your trip more enjoyable.
  • Due to the venue arrangement of the Setouchi Triennale, most of the art facilities at the "Benesse Art Site Naoshima" must be booked through the dedicated reservation website. Appointments will be available at 10:00am on the second Friday of two months prior to the visit date, with various time slots available
  • During the trip, there is a ferry from Uno Port to Naoshima approximately every 1 hour and 30 minutes. As weather or traffic conditions may affect the arrival time, it is recommended to choose the 14:30~16:00 time period when booking a visit to ensure a smoother trip and enjoy a relaxing art tour
