Nanzenji Junsei (南禅寺 順正) - Traditional Kyoto Tofu Dishes

Was very nice to dine in a historical restaurant that served various creative and healthy tofu cuisines. Yet was little bit surprised that it was a bit strict about walking around. Wanted to roam in the restaurants beautiful garden but were told that we shall only stayed in the reception and not even allowed to use toilets without anyone leading us.

The restaurant receives many group guests, but the service is very fast. The location of the restaurant is convenient, and there are red leaves at the door in autumn.

It was my first time to celebrate the New Year in Kyoto. I had the New Year’s Eve dinner and ordered the tofu kaiseki. My parents-in-law were very satisfied with the meal! Children also like it very much!

I made a reservation because I wanted to try kaiseki cuisine in Kyoto, but the food composition wasn't that good for the price.

It is really convenient to use klook. Even if the official website is full, there is still a seat here. The tofu is delicious and you can enjoy a good time with your family

I chose the set meal (not kaiseki), everything is common, you can experience it~ It won’t taste bad, but it’s not amazing

The appointment time is 1:30 and the seat is on time. The environment is beautiful and the season of red leaves. Staff are polite. The only thing is that the heating is very cramped and suffocating.
