Grandma and the assistant sister were very energetic in helping us complete the experience activities. This was not just about experiencing handmade Japanese home cooking, but also about experiencing matcha tea ceremony at the end, which gave us a deeper understanding of Japanese food culture. It was a great cultural exchange. Thank you very much for having such a cooking experience that is so close to local life in Japan, thank you teacher and assistant sister.
My husband and I were visiting Japan and were looking for a fun class to attend while we were here. Grandma Junko's cooking class was the right choice! What a lovely way to spend our afternoon and learn how to cook a delicious meal. The food was so good and we had no problems understanding how to make everything as English speakers. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the conversations as well as the care put into the meal and tea ceremony. Please consider joining this class if you're in Nagoya!
The cooking class was great and very authentic. The ladies were very informative and very organised .I had a wonderful time and they helped me with directions to the cherry blossoms and went out of their way to print maps .I felt like I was in grandmothers kitchen ..the tea ceremony was a nice touch
An excellent personal and attentive experience. Would recommend highly.
It was fun and I felt great. The teacher was professional and attentive, and the assistant teacher was also very nice. I ate my finished product while talking to the teacher, and the phone was my translator. There were no communication problems. It was an unforgettable experience!
