Reviews
The price difference isn't significant, but not having to buy tickets separately made the trip easy and convenient. Meiji Mura has overwhelmingly more to see, so if you plan to take your time, you'll need to invest a full day. However, there are many similar buildings, and if you're not interested in Japanese language and modern Japanese history, you'll become desensitized after a while. Inuyama Castle, after passing the shrines next to it, offers an amazing open view from the upper levels of the castle. The shopping streets below the castle are lined with shops, making it fun to explore and enjoy various delicious desserts. I'm disappointed that I have to return home before the Meiji Mura nighttime opening period.
This is a value for money package, which includes transportation from Nagoya and back, as well as tickets to the attractions. Inuyama is the best castle I’ve seen in Japan, wonderfully preserved. We also enjoyed Meiji Miura, especially the old Imperial Hotel
Meiji-mura was a lovely place to spend half a day. It was easy to walk around and getting the one-day bus pass (¥500) was nice to have, but not necessary. Don't waste money on the locomotive pass (¥1000). The steam train and street cars span a short distance on the outside fringes of the park so you don't get to see the buildings up close. Inuyama Castle in comparison, was underwhelming. The queue for the stairs to the top took more than 30 min. You need to stay in the queue and can only walk clockwise once around the top floor. Very steep and narrow staircases up four storeys. The view at the top was amazing though. Finally, buyers need to take note that a printed hard copy of the voucher is needed to be exchanged for passes at the Meitetsu station. The ticket officer needs to collect it, so the mobile version in your phone won't do.
Meiji Mura can be reached by taking a bus directly from Meikoya via Inuyama Station. There are many sights to see in Meiji Mura, and it takes a whole day. Moreover, if you want to visit some of the sights in detail, it will take time. The rest of the time you can only take a quick look and check in. Inuyama also has many attractions, such as Inuyama Castle and the majestic Tadashiyama Daishoji Temple, and you can also try Hida beef. This package includes a one-way train ticket from Nagoya to Inuyama, an entrance ticket to Inuyama Castle, a round-trip bus ticket between Inuyama and Meiji Mura, and an entrance ticket to Meiji Mura, which can be used within two days. This package is very convenient for visiting these two scenic spots and is highly recommended.
It was easy exchanging the voucher for tickets. It already covers transportation and entrance to the castle and Meiji Mura so it makes your trip hassle free.
Easy to purchase and the trip went smoothly! Although I encountered a Gifu bus driver who claimed that I could not use the voucher when transferring from Inuyama Castle to Meiji Village, I am grateful to Klook customer service staff for their thoughtful help in communicating, and for compensating me for the extra transportation costs I paid. I am very grateful for the assistance and understanding of customer service Ace C!
The Meiji Mura Museum is worth a visit. Many buildings of historical value have been preserved, each with its own characteristics. I especially like the lobby of the Imperial Hotel. Please note that the bus terminal is only located at the main gate. When you arrive, remember to take a picture of the schedule so that you can estimate your departure time, as you still need to go to Inuyama Castle!
Convenient, easy to use, and I'm using it right away! Arrived quickly after taking the train from Nagoya, and it was easy to exchange the relevant tickets locally. If possible, adding options for students and children would be even more convenient!
Price: Great deal with the discount! The e-ticket is convenient and much easier to use than the paper ticket from before. If you're going to Meiji Mura, it's best to add the 500 yen all-you-can-ride pass for the park's tour bus. You can hop on and off whenever you get tired.
It is a little cheaper than buying various tickets and train tickets separately. Compared with the price, it is more worth buying because of the convenience. You don’t have to queue up and worry about how to communicate.
