It was a lot of fun! My kids loved it. We found 2 coconut crabs, countless hermit crabs, ordinary(?) crabs, toads, and frogs. at last, we saw a bat. Fuka was very kind, knowledgeable, and a real expert in finding coconut crabs! Also, she was a great photographer. We now have a lot of good photos thanks to her. I strongly recommend this tour.
Was a very fun experience. Instructor was knowledgeable, friendly, and was able to fluently communicate with the group. We started in a big group and a portion of the group had to return back to their vehicle. She was able to help them out while the rest of us continued searching for wildlife. She did mention what to look out for and there was other groups around so it still felt safe. She returned and continued the tour. We were lucky that another group was able to find the coconut crab so a lot of people got pictures in. It was a windy and cold night, finding the crab was harder than normal.
Kazuma, our guide, was enthusiastic and tried his best to guide us from beginning to end! 👍 Our group included a Japanese family, a foreign woman, and our couple! I was impressed by how he tried to communicate with everyone!! He communicated with the children at their eye level and gave us a lot of explanations about the vegetation, which was great. It was a shame that we didn't see the coconut crab I was expecting, but we still got to see a variety of creatures! And I was so touched that he took pictures of the Milky Way with such passion!!! I think I even caught a shooting star in the picture~ He was so kind from start to finish, and I think it will remain a good memory!! I highly recommend this tour to families and couples! ☺️ I was so impressed by his diligence in organizing and sending the photos right away that I rushed to write a review!! 😻 Thank you for your guide today, Smiling Kazukun! It was really great tour. Have a good evening🌃
I participated in the night tour for the first time, and this time it was a small group of 4 people, and there were almost no other people on the tour. It was really dark, and I could hear various sounds (bats, Taiwanese bell crickets, etc.), which was an experience I couldn't normally have. Our guide, Mayu-chan, was very friendly and taught us various information about Miyako Island's creatures, history, and sightseeing in a fun and polite way. She also took pictures and proceeded with the tour while paying attention to various things. Luckily, we found coconut crabs three times this time, and we were also able to see the spider that became the model for Kamaji and purple hermit crabs multiple times. The people who participated in the tour with us were also nice, and we had a fulfilling time. The tour was so good that I went to the same place the next day to reconfirm what it looked like during the day and enjoyed the afterglow of the tour.
An amazing and breathtaking experience, from the torchlit walk to discover the nightlife of the beautiful Miyakojima Island to the grand finale, a spectacle of stars that rivets your eyes to the sky. Kudos to our professional and very friendly guide, thank you for the wonderful photos you took, we had a lot of fun and were very moved.
The starlight tour was unfortunately impossible due to the many clouds in the sky, so finding coconut crabs in the jungle was the main event. No coconut crabs were found at the first spot, so I was disappointed (?) and wondered what was going on... but as we went further in, we were able to spot them, starting with the small ones, and saw a total of about 3. I was happy to find the biggest one after hearing the sound it makes when it moves, "O--ssu," which our guide Mayu-chan told us about. Besides coconut crabs, we also saw a variety of other creatures, such as purple hermit crabs, spiders, lizards, and both white and large ones. Mayu-chan also gave us in-depth explanations about the trees and plants, but I didn't know the Japanese proper nouns well, so I only understood the context. I'm Japanese, so I was on the tour with other Japanese people, and since I can speak travel Japanese, we didn't do it in English separately. It was cute to see the reactions of the Japanese people. Keep in mind that it's a jungle, so you have to put up with bugs and humidity! Thank you, Mayu-chan, for preparing Santa hats and small gifts for us on the day before Christmas Eve!
I recently participated in a jungle tour in Miyakojima, and it was a more satisfying activity than I could have imagined! The guide was very friendly and explained the nature, flora, and fauna of Miyakojima in an easy-to-understand manner, so it wasn't just a walk but felt like a "learn and enjoy" experience. The course itself wasn't too strenuous, and I think even beginners can participate with peace of mind. During the tour, I was able to experience rare plants that I don't usually see and "another nature" of Miyakojima. Miyakojima has many marine activities, but this tour, where you can feel the tranquility and power of the jungle, was a truly valuable experience. There are many photo spots, so it is definitely recommended for people who love nature! If you want to know the charm of Miyakojima, not just the sea, please join us.
Our three-generation family participated in this tour on our first night in Miyakojima! We were worried if the tour would even happen due to a nearby typhoon and cloudy skies, but Naoki Jimuna (Naoki-san) cheerfully brought everyone together, making both the children and adults excited! Thanks to him, other guests successfully found coconut crabs, and everyone was very satisfied! Although we missed out on the starry sky, the evening stroll along the coast, the observatory, and encountering many insects we'd never seen before were great experiences for the kids! Thank you very much!!
Don't forget stargazing in Miyakojima 💫, an unforgettable memory •̀ ᗜ •́ ♥️ I really wanted to see a coconut crab, and I met two! I'm so lucky! 🦀🍀 Mayu Jungle Guide was kind and cute ᐢ⑅•ᴗ•⑅ᐢ I hope to see you again next time. Koreans and Japanese people all gather in Miyakojima, so if you come, let's go on a jungle tour! Papago makes communication no problem, a choice you won't regret! Klook 💫
I applied because I wanted to have a unique experience with my wife on our honeymoon in Miyakojima. We met a friendly guide who explained everything well, and my wife and I had a great time exploring. It's a great time to see many creatures in the Miyakojima jungle (spiders, toads, hermit crabs, coconut crabs, etc.). The guide can explain in Japanese and English, so I recommend it to Koreans if you have time in the evening!
