The Rail Kitchen Chikugo by Nishitetsu

Japan is a country that is full of attentiveness and experience value. You can enter/exit the station through the manual counter by showing your reservation information/commemorative ticket. The cute red and white checkered train is the first dining train in Japan with a kiln oven. From the welcome drink, the fixed plate of appetizers with instructions, fish main course, meat main course, dessert, coffee, we had a complete set meal in the car. Coupled with the sale of peripheral souvenirs, introduction to attractions along the way, singing by the train conductor, and guest birthday celebrations, it is a very interesting experience (if you know a little Japanese, the value may be higher)

There is a special train on Nishitetsu in Fukuoka City called The Rail Kitchen Chikugo. By chance at work, I rode this train with my boss, and then I took the train with my friends and enjoyed it. The train food tour went to Omuta, the terminal station, and then to Dazaifu. By purchasing some extra money on the same ticket, you can enjoy gourmet food and a tram ride. There are many special trams in Kyushu, don’t miss them.

It was a very interesting experience, eating, watching and chatting. Some passers-by waved to everyone along the way, and the conductor and driver also tried their best to provide entertainment for everyone. The meal was very delicious, but it would be more comfortable if hot tea was provided first.

First time riding this train, it feels new, comfortable, and the food is delicious too.

Worth a try. The staff is very friendly, and the car is very clean. The food is good for taking pictures. But the return trip takes almost 1 hour back to Tenjin, which is a bit tiring.

The overall service is very considerate, the appearance and decoration of the train are attractive, the meals are delicious and of high quality, and there are various souvenirs available for purchase

The food was exquisite and delicious, the dining environment was comfortable, the train was beautiful, and the service staff was lovely. The scenery along the way was beautiful, and occasionally children outside the window waved to welcome us. A very pleasant dining car gourmet trip.

Although I wasn’t able to join the Rail Chikugo train journey from the beginning due to a miscommunication that caused me to miss the initial boarding, I truly appreciate the entire Rail Chikugo team for their outstanding support. They went above and beyond by accompanying me and helping me board from another station, ensuring I could still enjoy the experience. They also took the time to clearly explain what had happened, which I really valued. Despite being the only guest who arrived late, I was warmly welcomed, given several souvenirs, and still served all the meals. Their kindness, professionalism, and dedication made a lasting impression on me. I will definitely come back to experience the journey from the very beginning next time.
