Reviews
alot of trekking up hill. guide was really nice and funny. guide was happy to take walk slowly and take regular breaks. the trekking was hard, but a great experience
Jungle trek was great, our guides were knowledgable and funny. The last item on the itiniary is a sit down meal (which tasted great), something you don’t normally get with other tours.
The trekking is very good although the slope is very steep. I enjoyed the climb. The big Buddha is very fascinating and wat chalong is very interesting where there were firecrackers to signify good luck and to drive away bad luck.
Great opportunity to get in touch with nature. The incline in the first half of the hike is pretty steep - therefore you’d have to have a certain level of physical fitness to complete this activity! The guide was great and he ensured all of us were feeling fine and well taken care of throughout. There is a pit stop in the midst of the hike - where we got some rest and were served some fruits, snacks (glutinous rice etc). Nothing too fancy, but good enough to keep us satiated for the rest of the hike. Once you’re at the top, you’ll be rewarded a breathtaking view. There is a requirement to be dressed modestly at the Great Buddha - but no worries if you’re not in the right attire as the guide will make arrangements and hand you scarf-like garments to cover up.
The tour guide is very friendly, and introduces different plants growing on the mountain trail along the way, such as lemon glass, big tree pineapple, bird of paradise...etc, to gain knowledge. There should be more than one path to the Big Buddha. This time the tour guide chose a path that will make you sweat on the slopes, but it is not too hard for us. The total length is about 3km. After the trip, you can drink a cool coconut. Dry, highly recommended!
Our guide, Kong, was amazing. He was very friendly, chatty and great company. He knew so many interesting facts about every topic, it really made the trip. Thanks Kong!
Thanks to Kong and CC’s hideaway, we have had a great jungle walking experience. Also, seeing the big Buddha is a must if you visit Phuket. Definitely recommended it.
Bond from CC'Hideaway is really good...he is funny, friendly and make the whole trip fun and enjoyable...me and my family really like it. Highly recommend 👍👍👍
Guide was friendly and knowledge. he is mindful of the group and takes break in between and adjusts timings to accommodate the group.
You got to have certain level of fitness to join this trekking tour-it has lots of uphill treks. We had a wonderful time and our guide, Born, was really knowledgeable and friendly. We saw many different plants along the way and he explained how the Thais use them. We had refreshing coconut juice at the rest stop and proceeded to the Big Buddha. After that we were driven to the local market to shop around and visit the temples.
Good to know
