Great location close to the British Museum, metro/train stations, and dining/pubs. Very helpful staff. Clean room that was reasonably sized. Nice sound-proofing also — we stayed on the 2nd floor and heard no street noise. I’d definitely stay here again1

We loved our stay at the Morton Hotel. The location was wonderful: near the underground, close to the British Museum and theaters ,and within walking distance of nearly everything else we wanted to see. It was hot for the first few days we were there and the A/C was great. The staff was helpful and attentive. The rooms were well-appointed with wonderful towels, a comfy bed, a roomy bathroom and coffee & cookies. We look forward to returning.

This is my second stay at this hotel in a little over a month. It is a very charming historic building that's been stylishly updated in a books/authors/library theme consistent with the academic setting of many nearby universities. I stayed the first time in a large 1-bedroom apartment and second time in a smaller standard double room. Both rooms were very comfortable, nicely decorated and included very nice amenities. Despite the hotel's convenient location to many popular places and transportation hubs, it is very quiet. The second visit was during a heat wave and the AC worked fabulously! Finally, the staff really do make this property shine. They couldn't be more friendly, helpful and attentive. This is my go-to hotel in London from now on!

Fantastic location overlooking Russell Square! Warm, friendly professional staff. Check in was very smooth. Room is nicely appointed, just enough space for 2 people. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious.

This is a perfect hotel. The staff are superb. It is just the right size and in just the right location. Park, restos and pubs abound. If you need a grand lobby and dramatic entrance, the Morton is not for you. But if you enjoy great personal service, nice comfy rooms and easy access, I recommend highly.

The room was small but clean and tidy. The air conditioning was good. The bathroom didn’t have any ventilation so the steam wet everything. The towel warming bar didn’t work. Housekeeping was ok, everyday they did less it seemed. The front desk staff were nice but not helpful. They didn’t even know what a towel warming rack was lol. I wish the hotel had a free continental breakfast or a happy hour it seems they’re wasting the cute basement lobby area. It’s a quiet place, no human interaction. The location was challenging if you are doing lots of touristy things. It’s not close to anything, it’s a 30 minute walk every main attraction. The area itself is secure and in a good neighborhood. Some places to eat nearby. If you know the Underground then you should be good, there is a station close by, but as an older couple we didn’t wrap our heads around the Underground. I think it’s a great hotel for a more youthful or fit demographic. If you’re older you can Uber everywhere but that’s can add up. Overall we liked The Morton.

FantasticStayed with kids
Amazing location, super clean room and amazing staff. It’s literally a 10 minute walk from Euston and 10 second walk from Russell Square station. There’s amazing bakeries (fortitude!) near by as well as a few supermarkets. It can be a bit loud at night but it’s only for a short amount of time and a sound machine will drown that out.

The hotel was an excellent place to stay the first time as well as our second time. Staff was exceptionally friendly and hospitable. Location of the hotel is perfect due to a beautiful green space across the street with an Italian restaurant in the park.
Amenities are a great plus also!!
