This was not a good stay. The room itself (6) was clean and large but lacked furniture. The safe did not work. The shower was poor. We did not sleep well due to things dropping on the roof of the room. The pool itself was small but lovely but there were no seats or loungers by it. Breakfast was free and was the best meal they cooked. We did not enjoy the rest of the food and went out to eat. The diving was not the best either with little planning and a guide who missed a lot of the smaller creatures

This was my third visit 3 years running staying and diving at Blue Ribbon. They have everything right for a relaxed, but safe, diving vacation. The rooms are fine and everything is convenient. You walk a few meters from your room to eat and not many more to dive. The resort has a friendly family feel to it and the staff were all fabulous. The food is also excellent with lots of variety and its all cooked fresh. Portion sizes are good and prices are reasonable. We did 16 dives over 4 days and our guide Jeff Zapata was first class. I can't wait to visit again. Jon's super friendly dog ('mush') was a delight and it made our day the day he came with us on the boat diving. I look forward to returning soon. Keep up the good work team Blue Ribbon.

I wasn't expecting much but I was still disappointed. Hot and cold showers or having only one plug to charge your phone, I was expecting. What I wasn't expecting was the complete lack of care and attention to detail. The shower was completely covered in limescale so hardly any water came out. There are still signs up for social distancing. There was a dirty pair of pants near the pool that was there when we arrived and was still there when we left, the same with rags and buckets that are just left around the pool area. Trash left in the garden and beach. 3 small dogs that live at the hotel that bark a lot, especially at night and early morning.1 of the dogs pees in the lobby next to the kitchen because no one walks it. Food was terrible, worst pizza I have ever eaten, barely cooked with raw tomato slices on top of thick layer of rubbery cheese, omelette at breakfast was runny and raw in the middle, you have to eat at the hotel because there is nothing near by, but even Filipino food wasn't good, way too salty. At best the food was edible but we didn’t have a good or tasty meal during our stay. There is plenty of staff, mostly on their phone without headphones, smoking around the corner of the terrace or laying in the gazebo by the pool. All I can say is the beds were comfortable enough and the sheets clean. Our rented dive equipment wasn't checked before we left, when we did our own checks, we had a leaking regulator and a leak in a BCD. They are no longer PADI certified.

We stayed at BR for five nights. It’s definitely a good dive resort. We are snorkelers who snorkeled every day. The beach is pretty rocky so wear water shoes. The food was good. Lots of selections, and a very good selection of breakfast foods. We ate there every day. I would recommend most of the items we had, except maybe the Ceasars salad, the dressing was strong for me. And have your bread toasted if you get a sandwich. The beer was very cold. Good shakes. Ice bucket was provided if asked for. Two great waiters, Justin and Zed. The room was small, but luggage fit under the bed. We spent a lot of time on our balcony which was fantastic and overlooking the bay. Very comfortable chairs and table. That’s where we spent our time if we weren’t eating or snorkeling. Dave the front desk guy was very helpful. He helped me pay a bill from our last hotel that got overlooked by using g cash, which I do not have. The staff was great. Be prepared for a workout with the stairs, but the staff muscle helped with heavy luggage. Anilao town a ten minute drive. Paid cash at the end cause credit card reader wasn’t working. I thought our last bill was very reasonable. We ate and drank for five days and it was about $110 USD. We enjoyed our stay.

The resort is very comfortable and clean! Staff are very friendly helpful and good at what they do. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and will definitely visit again. I work in Manila so it is less than three hours from Manila to the resort.

A simple diver resort, which conveniently does single dives in the afternoon as well as double dives in the morning at a reasonable price. We have visited the area several times in the past, in this resort we did not feel particularly well, including after the dives (the reason is hard to pinpoint, may or may not have to do with the resort). Room 1 had some half-dead cockroaches crawling around. Otherwise, the dining area on the terrace is nice and serves good local dishes, including coconut-based curries. The aircon is not particularly strong but can cool the room down to 22-23C. Wifi is not bad most of the time.
