This is a great workshop! We had an amazing time with Kanako as we made our sake cups. Kanako welcomed us with tea and some sweets and explained the process really well. It was great fun to create our patterns on the cups and make the finishing touches. And when everything was done, we even got to test our cups with some delicious sake! Thoroughly recommend this hands-on workshop.

Honestly hands down the best thing I've done in Japan. Taka-san was an amazing instructor and the whole experience was surreal. I highly highly recommend you do it.

No extreme lines or queues to wait - seamless boarding at each point. We visited at 4pm. The fare is split into 2x parts - part one which takes about 9mins from starting point to mid point in a cable car. Part two you jump into a smaller ropeway cart which takes you to the top point of Mt Hiei. The transit views are incredible and once at the top - several photo ops a plenty as well as other nature walks and attraction sites. We had a lovely time!

Our tour guide Nick was super kind and thoughtful ✨ We didn't see the sign he was holding in the morning, but he waited patiently for us 🥹 He also shared fun little stories about Kyoto on the bus, which made the trip even more interesting! We had so much fun eating yudofu (tofu hot pot) in Arashiyama that we were a little rushed to catch the 3:02 PM Sagano Scenic Railway train 🤣 We originally thought we only had 10 minutes left, but it was a 14-minute walk to our destination. We almost gave up, but then we figured we'd bought the tickets already so we decided to go for it! We went from being totally relaxed and having plenty of time to rushing around like crazy, but we still made it on time 🙈 Overall, though, the pace was smooth and the atmosphere was very relaxed 💕 Thank you, Nick, for making our day so enjoyable 🌿
