I am very grateful to Xiao Pan, the Chinese tour guide arranged today. He is very knowledgeable about the scenic spots, Japanese history, and Hokkaido food. He will also help solve any problems other than the itinerary. He is really a great tour guide! I am truly lucky to have him lead me today. Part of the itinerary suggested deleting the Bear Ranch. The bears there were really pitiful. I hope travel agencies can boycott this attraction.

overall the one day tour is well organized, the tour guide is friendly and provide us with lots of information. the only thing that was lacking is the time spent in Lake Toya, we were given around 70-80 minutes to have lunch and enjoy lake toya (the view, hand & foot bath etc.) but with the time given, the schedule is super tight. lunch time already took almost 1 hour which left us very limited time to enjoy the view itself.

After being cancelled twice on our Klook booking, we booked this. Basically this is a punch-card trip, stopping 1/2h each stop, taking some pic and off we go again. Other than the lunch and shopping stops, which allows us abt an hour. Time is critical for this trip, which the guide keep emphasising us to keep to the schedule and the bus does not wait, esp at the last stop. Overallc it’s a good re-visit to most of the places we’d been and glad we got to bought the horse oil cream again! Friendly and helpful guide too!

We had an amazing day trip with our tour guide, Xiao Pan! His enthusiasm for his work was truly infectious, and he made the entire experience enjoyable and memorable. Not only did he share interesting insights about each destination we visited, but he also introduced us to famous foods and must-visit spots in Hokkaido, all while weaving in fascinating bits of history. Xiao Pan’s sense of humor added a lot of fun to the trip, making everyone feel at ease. The itinerary was perfect—starting with the breathtaking scenery of Lake Toya and the surrounding snow-capped mountains, followed by the stunning view of Mount Yotei at Lake Hill Farm, famously known as the “Little Fuji of Hokkaido.” Visiting the Bear Farm was a delight, as we got to interact with the adorable bears (tips: bear bear prefer apples than biscuits!!!), and the day wrapped up beautifully at Noboribetsu Jigokudani, where we admired the dramatic volcanic landscapes formed by ancient lava. Xiao Pan truly went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this tour and him as a guide!

Seiko-san was very friendly and considerate, even shared much history of Hokkaido with our group. The lunch timing at Lake Toya can be extended as foreigners do take longer to view food menu and place food order in Japan. for family group, eatery took time to prepare and we missed the time to gather at our bus. Another group of 5 in our bus were also late as we are in the same eatery with full orders. Hell valley, lake Toya, bear ranch and ropeway were all beautiful and interesting .

Tour guide Xiao Pan is the most talkative and enthusiastic of all the one-day trips I have participated in. It’s completely unbelievable that at only 22 years old, he has so many stories to share about his itinerary, Hokkaido and Japan. Very attentive, like a friend, not boring at all. He kept talking about how time passed quickly in the car. Xiao Pan’s explanation made the group a lot more enriching. Hell Valley is a must-visit attraction in your itinerary. Next time I come, I hope to stay at a hot spring hotel here to experience it.

We booked for the next day and received an instant confirmation. Our guide, Pan, got in touch with us within hours with detailed infornation. Only wish the itinerary was not so rushed but we understand it can't be helped if we want to cover a few attractions in one day. Did not get to see Mt Yotei due to the weather but it was an unforgettable experience walking in the beautiful falling snow.
