Things to do in Hue Historic Citadel

Good thing I was able to stretch the trip in one afternoon. I would recommend using this since it will provide one QR code applicable for all sites. First, I choose the farthest site to visit via Grab bike, Minh Mang, Khai Dinh, Tu Duc, lastly, Imperial Palace. First two was the fave, but the least liked were the last two because of pictorials with attire change. I wish they only have designated places.

Sam, our tour guide, was great. He made sure we were seated on the right side of the train for the sea view. He was also knowledgeable on the history of Hue. He made sure we were always comfortable throughout the whole tour. The itinerary was also followed and we were picked up and dropped off at the exact time. I highly recommend this tour!

Simon was our guide - clear and interesting explanation! to note that the drive to Hue is ~2 hours away with one rest stop. Attractions visited was ample to learn more about the historical importance of hue. The provided lunch was also very filling.

I had a fabulous day with To and we ticked off so many places of interest in Hue. I could never have covered so much alone. To is a very good driver with great English and was very committed to making sure I had a great day. The restaurant we stopped at for lunch was fresh and tasty. Even at the end of the day instead of taking me to the market he stopped at a grocery store for me to let me buy supplies I had mentioned I wanted to take home. There was enough time to see everything at my own pace and no rushing; just relaxing.

Had an amazing day tour to Hue exploring Vietnam's historical heritage! This was by far the best handled guided tour I've taken. Our guide, Tâm, messaged the pickup time in advance and met me right at the hotel entrance. We took the tunnel instead of the Hai Van Pass, but Tâm gave us a great history overview along the way, including a nice coffee break at a lagoon. The Highlights: Khai Dinh Tomb: Incredibly beautiful and unique architecture. Lunch: A wonderful group meal at a lovely hotel. Tâm perfectly handled my dietary restrictions. Thien Mu Pagoda: Stunning views and even better architecture. The Imperial Citadel: Amazing!! I’ve never seen such a beautifully restored palace. It was worth every bit of the heat. Quick Tip: The 2.5-hour drive is very comfortable and great for a nap. Definitely bring a hat and stay hydrated, as walking around the sites gets really hot. Overall, an incredible experience!

The tour was great! I love teaching my child history through real-life experiences, so this tour was incredibly meaningful. The guide was very gentle and sweet, just like Hue itself, haha.

I had a wonderful experience with our tour guide Mr Long! Our ride was smooth and driver was very accommodating. Mr Long was very informative, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire tour. The weather was quite rainy, but he still made sure we were comfortable and helped us navigate around safely. He was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Had an amazing experience on the Hai Van Pass tour! The scenic views throughout the ride were absolutely breathtaking, and visiting Khai Tomb was a great cultural experience with beautiful architecture and history. A special thanks to our driver, Mr. Tung, who was extremely professional, friendly, and knowledgeable throughout the trip.
