Things to do in Pingtung

Simply one of the best experiences we've ever had. Swimming with the sea turtles was absolutely incredible! Our instructor was super kind and polite! I highly recommend the team.

I was initially worried about my husband not being there to help, but the sisters and brothers inside also helped the children with dressing and undressing. I am really grateful. I had such a great time in Taipei that I brought my family to Pingtung for a second visit! About 80-90% of the exhibition content is the same as in Taipei. The biggest differences are the outdoor large inflatable Shin-chan swimming ring and the sleeping Shiro, while indoors there's an additional themed area featuring a kindergarten cat stroller, Macao Chuma, and the mystery! The cherry blossom scene from the "Strange Incidents at Tenka Kasukabe Academy," and Shin-chan and Himawari wiggling their bottoms. The entrance area also features the Pingtung Eluanbi Lighthouse and road signs. The crowds are much smaller than in Taipei, so you can play the mini-games as much as you want—ten times is no problem at all. Overall, I highly recommend it!

We decided to visit Lu Jing at the last minute. Upon arrival, we found that tickets at the gate were 250 NTD, while Klook offered them for 50 NTD less. We immediately purchased tickets on Klook, and entry was very convenient—we just showed the e-voucher to the ticket staff for scanning!

The renovation of the old factory at Pingtung 1936 Cultural Base is a huge success. It perfectly preserves historical traces while injecting modern digital art. The exhibition flow in the museum is well-designed, with both permanent and special exhibitions being incredibly captivating. The immersive light and shadow interaction is particularly stunning, allowing for many beautiful photos. You can easily spend an entire afternoon here. I highly recommend everyone come and experience the cultural charm of Pingtung!

The theme park isn't very big. Kids have slides and bouncy castles, and adults can play arcade games. There's also food and entertainment, so both adults and children have a great time! However, two hours for both eating and playing does feel a bit rushed.

Kenting Forest is a superb activity. You can do the full tour in 2.5-3 hours. There, you can see ravines, coral rocks, Formosan macaques, caves, and a lush forest. It's accessible from Kenting Arch via bus 720 for 20 TWD.
