Fantastic 5.0
Both the driver and the tour guide were excellent and very professional in their explanations. They also made sure we understood everything. Since the drive was long, they took us to a rest stop in the morning so we could use the restroom and grab some breakfast. On the way back, they also took us to a rest stop. Upon arriving at Pamukkale, they first gave us an explanation, and then we had free time to explore. I can only say that Pamukkale is vast, with many ancient ruins, so it's impossible to see everything. You can only choose the areas that interest you. Lunch was a buffet, where you could pick your favorite items, but drinks were an additional charge.

Trust me, this trip was absolutely fantastic. We set off at 8 am, visiting Panergay, Aspendos, the ancient city of Sida, and the waterfalls, before returning to Antalya around 5 pm. Our guide, Fatima Tunc Altin, was the friendliest guide I've ever met. She had an excellent grasp of the itinerary, always considerate of everyone's feelings, and fluently recounted the history of the ancient city. You'd be incredibly lucky to meet her.

We had a great time - pickup was smooth, we had enough time to explore the sites ourselves and the tour guide is very informative and entertaining. 10/10. Highlight of our trip, thank you.

This was our first time on such a huge ship. It was really cool—the food, the atmosphere, and the spots where we stopped to swim. Special thanks to the captain; he's genuinely invested in every guest's mood. He even let my son steer the boat.

All of the spots visited have crystal clear water! (also since it was the end of April, the boat was not overcrowded) The guide was very good at entertaining throughout the trip!

It's very convenient; you can enter the attraction immediately without waiting in line, saving time and hassle. You receive your e-ticket right after booking, and there's even a mobile audio guide that you can continue listening to at home within the validity period. The complimentary sightseeing boat tour is also fantastic; you get to see many classic buildings along the river. I chose the 5 PM slot, which was perfect for watching the sunset—absolutely beautiful! ❤️

Fantastic 5.0
It was a new experience to see the Mediterranean Sea from a mountaintop over 2,000 meters high, to climb the highest mountain I've ever ascended in my life, to ride the highest cable car, and to watch paragliders from the summit.

There was a shuttle service to the hotel. We were the first queue for the 10:00 AM slot, which was great. This is an activity you should definitely do when visiting Turkey. It includes a sauna, massage, and Turkish bath, lasting almost 2 hours. The establishment then provided transportation back to the hotel.

What to know before visiting Kemer

About Kemer

Kemer boasts a fascinating history that dates back to ancient Lycia, though it remained largely isolated until the 1910s when a stone wall was built to protect the town from flooding, giving the town its name, "Kemer" (meaning "belt" or "arch"). Located just 42km west of Antalya, the town is uniquely positioned where the Taurus Mountains drop steeply into the sea, creating a lush, green microclimate rare in southern Turkey. Visitors choose Kemer not only for its world-class all-inclusive resorts but also for its proximity to ancient Greco-Roman cities and the Lycian Way trekking trail. It strikes a perfect balance between modern luxury and raw, untouched nature, making it a must-visit for those who want more than just a standard beach holiday.

Olympos Cable Car

Top Places to Visit in Kemer

1. Phaselis Ancient City

Phaselis is a must-visit archaeological gem located within a lush pine forest, featuring three small, calm bays once used as ancient harbors. Visitors can wander through the remains of an ancient theater, a grand aqueduct, and a paved harbor street that whispers tales of Roman and Byzantine trade. It is the ideal spot to combine history with relaxation, as you can take a dip in the shallow, turquoise waters right next to the ruins.

2. Olympos and the Chimaera (Yanartaş)

Experience the mystery of the "Eternal Flames" at Yanartaş, where natural gas seeps through the rocks and burns perpetually. This mythical site is located near the ancient city of Olympos, famous for its bohemian atmosphere and iconic treehouse stays. A hike up the hill at dusk offers a magical sight of the flickering fires against the dark mountain, a phenomenon that has inspired legends for millennia.

3. Mount Tahtalı (Olympos Teleferik)

For the best views on the Turkish Riviera, take the "Sea to Sky" cable car to the summit of Mount Tahtalı, standing at 2,365 meters. The journey provides a stunning 360-degree panorama of the coastline and the surrounding Beydağları Coastal National Park. At the top, visitors can enjoy paragliding for an adrenaline rush or simply sip coffee while clouds drift beneath their feet.

4. Moonlight Park and Beach (Ayışığı Parkı)

Located just behind Kemer’s marina, Moonlight Park is the heart of the town’s leisure activities. This crescent-shaped bay features a golden sandy beach, shaded walking paths, and a variety of seaside cafes and restaurants. It is a family favorite, offering a dolphinarium, mini-golf, and a beach club atmosphere that stays vibrant well into the evening.

5. Goynuk Canyon

Nature lovers and thrill-seekers should head to Goynuk Canyon for an afternoon of hiking, canyoning, and zip-lining. The canyon features emerald-green pools and towering rock walls that offer a refreshing escape from the summer heat. You can rent specialized gear and a guide to swim through the narrow passages and discover hidden waterfalls deep within the gorge.

What to Eat in Kemer

  • Fresh Mediterranean Seafood: Given its harbor location, Kemer is famous for grilled sea bass (Levrek) and sea bream (Çipura), usually served with a simple drizzle of local olive oil and lemon.
  • Yörük Breakfast: Being at the foot of the mountains, you must try a traditional nomadic "Yörük" breakfast featuring village butter, honey from the pine forests, and "Gözleme" (savory hand-rolled pancakes).
  • Tandır Kebab: Slow-roasted lamb cooked in a traditional pit oven until the meat falls off the bone, a hearty specialty found in the mountain-side restaurants.
  • Antalya-style Piyaz: A unique white bean salad made with a rich tahini-based dressing, garlic, and vinegar—a local staple that perfectly complements grilled meats.

Tips for Your Kemer Travel

  • Pack Water Shoes: Most of Kemer’s beaches are pebbly rather than sandy. To enjoy the incredibly clear water comfortably, a pair of rubber water shoes is a lifesaver.
  • Use the Dolmuş: The local minibus (Dolmuş) system is frequent and connects Kemer to Antalya and nearby attractions like Phaselis for a fraction of the cost of a taxi.
  • Book Boat Trips Mid-Week: Coastal boat tours are a highlight in Kemer. If possible, book for Tuesday or Wednesday to avoid the larger weekend crowds and enjoy a more peaceful experience at the swimming stops.
  • Check the Wind for Teleferik: If you plan to visit Mount Tahtalı, check the weather forecast first. On very windy days, the cable car may stop running, and on cloudy days, the view from the summit may be completely obscured.
