Things to do in Zuoying District

Spend a half day around Lotus Pond, walking between the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, Spring and Autumn Pavilions, and Kaohsiung Confucius Temple. Visit the Old City of Zuoying heritage area and nearby temples to understand the district's military and settlement history. For modern shopping and dining, head to malls around Zuoying Station, including large retail complexes with restaurants and entertainment. Zuoying is also a practical jumping-off point for Fo Guang Shan, Pier-2 Art Center, Cijin Island, and Tainan day trips by rail. In the evening, use the MRT to reach Ruifeng Night Market or central Kaohsiung for more food options.
