Hotels in Kagoshima

The price is cheap, and the location is right outside the JR station, making transportation extremely convenient. In addition, after check-out, you can use the self-service luggage storage. The bathtub is large, and bath salts are provided with a lovely scent. There's really nothing to complain about. Highly recommended!

There was a bit of language barrier with the staff during check in and getting a ticket for parking. Other than that pretty good, had a view of the volcano from the hotel room.

I was so satisfied with my first night that I booked consecutive nights. As expected, for a hotel in this price range with good accessibility and cleanliness, Coco Hotel is the only option. I'm definitely planning on using it again for my next trip to Kagoshima.

The hotel is a little far from Kagoshima JR Station and needs to be reached by train or bus, but it provides free midnight snacks. After taking a bath, you can get popsicles or Yakult for free, which is a great little blessing.

It's close to Kagoshima city center. Yamagataya department store is right in front, which is great for buying drinks and food. It's also close to Kagoshima Castle, about a 13-minute walk. Besides that, there are many restaurants and other places to eat nearby. Anyway, I had a great stay.

The room had a gorgeous view of Sakurajima and was quite spacious. The location was also near the beach though we didn't take advantage of that. There was a pachinko place across the road with bright flashing lights in the evening but they turned the lights off around 10pm. Parking validation has to be done every time you exit and reenter the parkade.
