Things to do in Naples

I went to Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi with Maria and Luigi. Thanks to Maria's detailed explanations, it was twice as fun, and thanks to Luigi's incredible driving skills, we were able to travel safely even on those narrow southern roads!! I panicked when I lost my wallet in the middle of the trip, but they used every possible method to help me find it! Although we couldn't find it... 🥹 Still, thanks to Maria and Luigi, I'm leaving with wonderful memories. It felt like my visit was too short, so I'd love to come back again someday. The Amalfi Coast is one of the world's most beautiful cliffside colorful towns, while Pompeii is a 2,000-year-old Roman city preserved in volcanic ash. These two prime attractions are perfect for combining into a layered journey through Southern Italy. The careful arrangements by tour leader Macro, the superb driving skills of driver Rosario on the winding mountain roads, and the detailed explanations by Pompeii guide Elia brought this trip to a perfect close!

The tour program was excellent, allowing us to comfortably explore Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello! And Roberto was the best guide ever!!! Thanks to Roberto, the trip was enjoyable and never had a dull moment. I'm grateful for his passion and endless energy, always sharing fun stories! Thanks to him, I've fallen completely in love with the Amalfi Coast! We love you, Roberto!!!

I did this tour on the day I leave Naples in the afternoon. I was deciding whether I’d squeeze it in before I leave and so glad I did. Great way to spend some time learning about Naples’s underground history. Definitely worth visiting.

Angie and Josephine were organized and tried their hardest to keep the group together. We really appreciated their effort and the Pompei ruins were so interesting! The lunch before the Vesuvius hike was a thoughtful touch. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, the trek to the crater is quite challenging.

We were very lucky today; we made it to the Blue Grotto. Otherwise, it might have been closed due to high tide. The only downside was waiting in line for an hour to enter the Blue Grotto. The sun was very strong and hot, making the wait feel endless. The local guide provided professional explanations, and the tour schedule was well-arranged. During our free time in Anacapri, I recommend taking the cable car to the observation deck on the mountain at your own expense. The scenery is beautiful on a clear day and well worth it.

It was a nice and convenient tour. The driver was polite, kind, and friendly, and shared interesting facts about the places we visited. The car was a little warm though, and outside actually felt cooler. We visited Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi, and Ravello, with about 50 minutes to 1 hour at each stop. Since these places have lots of stairs and plenty to explore, 1 hour may not be enough if you want to fully enjoy each location. We had one small issue at the start. We arrived 20 minutes before 9 AM, and the instructions said to look for someone holding or wearing a Project Napoli sign. Instead, the driver had a sheet of paper with our name handwritten on it, and we could not read it from where we were standing. Since the hotel is a common meeting point, there were many people, so we ended up waiting for each other. A clearer sign would have saved time and avoided looks from other people on the tour. Overall, it was still an enjoyable experience.

In Naples, a bus tour seems essential! While I don't see much reason to take one in Florence or Milan, the Naples B-line bus offers beautiful coastal scenery, and the A-line was very satisfying because it allowed me to hop on and off at places I wanted to visit while saving on transportation costs.
