Things to do in Ninh Binh

This trip is my favorite activity while in Hanoi. Ninh Binh is almost 2 hours away from Hanoi but we had a smooth ride. This is very well organized trip, we had ample time to enjoy each destination. plus our guide luca is a great guide. we had a buffet for lunch. the food was good its just that there are many other people in the restaurant. overall this is a great experience.

Our tour with Đűc and our driver Tom was outstanding. Đức is a young guide but incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely proud of his culture. He explained Vietnam’s history in a way that felt authentic, engaging, and easy to understand. What truly stood out was his care for people. When my partner Juliana became unwell halfway through the tour, Đűc immediately helped us seek medical assistance and made sure she was comfortable. For someone new to travelling, that support meant a lot. I’ve travelled the world for over 20 years and experienced many guides, but Đűc is one of the best. His English is excellent, he’s interactive, and his knowledge of history is impressive, even for someone like me who loved history at school. Great day, we really enjoyed ourselves. Good option for seeing a bit of variety in a short time (temple, then boat ride, then mountain hike). Would book again. I recommend selecting the option to include admission tickets with the tour price, otherwise you face the hastle of having to give cash in person to the tour guide to buy them for you~ slows everyone down a bit. We had a wonderful tour with our guide , Duc. He shared great info about the sites and Vietnamese culture. The company reached out the day before the tour to confirm pick up time and location. Duc was at the pick up location to greet us. The itinerary is as outlined in the description. The lunch buffet included many traditional Vietnamese dishes which we fully enjoyed. We did notice that some of the individuals on the tour were vegetarians and indicated that there were limited options for them. Overall a great tour and highly recommended for those looking for a day trip from the hustle and hustle or Hanoi.

Family of 5 travelled in a d-car. Very satisfied with the program and itinerary. The guide Dem was patient, accommodative and informative. No hard sell, no pressure to give good reviews. The food served in the restaurant was more than enough. There so many dishes to devour. Small group in the d-car. There were just two other couples with my family. A trip to be remembered

brilliant tour! it more than exceeded our expectations! A must do while in Hanoi, early start but well worth it! our guide was fab and it all felt quite relaxed despite the schedule! it was my favourite day so far! the climb was quite the workout for those with short legs but worth it! the boat ride was the stand out but every bit was great! lunch was typical buffet, bit bland but enough choice to fill up for energy! our guide Day was fab, thank you!

I enjoyed the tour. Pick-up was on time for designated location. Itinerary was good - not too rush for each location. Jenny was great at giving background story for each location. Area of improvement, perhaps on the safety aspect of the transportation. Seat belts not in place and the drive there was too fast…

Our day trip with Minh was fantastic! He was friendly, organized, and shared so much interesting information about each place. The schedule was well-paced, and he made sure everyone was comfortable throughout. Thanks to Minh, we had a smooth, fun, and memorable experience exploring Bai Dinh, Trang An, and Mua Caves. Highly recommend him!

The tour guide seemed too young and didn't really control the group well. Also, while they were called a tour guide, they didn't actually introduce the history of each location. This was a very different experience compared to other tours I've taken in Vietnam. The worst part was that after dropping everyone off at each location, they didn't mention a meeting time. When I asked the tour guide what time we'd meet, they just replied that they'd be waiting at that spot, and the voice was so quiet that not all the tour group members could hear. So, the entire day was spent waiting for other tour members to return to the group, plus it was a holiday, so there were tons of other tour groups at each location! Because our group arrived late to the restaurant for lunch, we only had half an hour for lunch, which felt very rushed and uncomfortable. The bike ride after lunch is really unnecessary. The bikes were super bad, and the roads were super bad too. It's skippable. The only complete experience during the whole trip was the boat ride. The Mua Cave at the end was just a big question mark. We paid money to enter, but we could only stay for 40 minutes. There was no time to climb up, even though the park was really beautiful. It was such a pity we couldn't go up because we'd be late. Again, regarding the final meeting time to return to Hanoi, we waited in the car for 40 minutes because other tour members were late. The whole experience really felt like we spent 2/3 of the time waiting for people! If you're going to spend a whole day on this, I recommend booking a small group or a private tour. You really get what you pay for!
