Good to know
- The open-air bath is a unique experience where men and women can enjoy it on alternate days. On even days, it is open for women, while on odd days, it is open for men
- But due to chimney construction work, the large open-air bath will be for men only, the small open-air bath and carbonated bath will be for women only from 2/13/2024 for a while. There will be no change depending on whether it is an odd-numbered or even-numbered day. Thank you for your understanding.
- Please note that this is not a private bath

Aisha was so lovely and educated us through the onsen experience. As a person with tattoos I was wary about going to an onsen, but doing this have me peace of mind that I wasnt breaking any rules and could enjoy my own onsen experience safely in Japan. Would recommend this to anyone else with tattoos or anyone unsure about onsen procedures and how to be respectful in an onsen. If you're in Tokyo looking for an onsen to visit that isnt too far away, this was an easy location to navigate to and friendly services make this the perfect experience for a tattooed traveller. Stunning view of Tokyo Skytree too!
It was my first time to experience Onsen in Japan. Me and my wife have tattoos that’s why I really searched for an Onsen that allows people with tattoos. My wife enjoyed the experience and she was accompanied by Alisa. I just really wished there was also a male tour guide counterpart who can accompany or guide me so that I can maximize the activity. Although there were instructions given to us, I didn’t remember them all. Alisa gave us free drinks from the convenience store. She is very friendly and accommodating. Overall, me and my wife enjoyed the experience.
Didn’t want to miss out on experiencing a Japanese onsen so I specifically searched for a tattoo-friendly one. Was pleased to find this one guided by Alisa! I did the Tokyo Marathon the day before our booking so it was such a welcome treat to be able to go to the onsen. Alisa’s instructions via email were very clear so we easily found her at the meeting point. She carried a kind of manual on the do’s and don’t at the onsen and the different kinds available. We walked from the meeting point to the onsen location and talked story. It was rainy and cold that day as well, making it the ideal onsen weather. Women and men are separate and Alisa went with me to the women’s side, while my husband went to the men’s side. We started with the regular outdoor one before coming inside to the carbonated pool. Alisa said it’s supposed to be good for the skin and in easing back pain and leg soreness—exactly what my body needed after the marathon. There was also a jacuzzi and small cold pool, as well as one that’s sakura-infused. I tried it but it turned out being too hot for me. After the onsen, Alisa treated us to our choice of drink at the convenience store next door. She also gave us an origami piece that she made herself as a gift. Overall a great experience and highly recommended to anyone whether with tattoos or not! Can’t say enough wonderful things about Alisa!
We had a wonderful time experiencing a tatoo friendly onsen with Alisa. She explained everything very thoroughly before we even entered and then answered questions throughout in order to alleviate any self consciousness we might have been feeling. The onsen itself was large and offered wonderful views. It was a beautiful and unique experience that I will remember for a long time. Highly reccomend!
Absolutely stellar experience!! Truly a memory for life. Our guide Alisa was SO kind and helpful and patient with us. She guided us every step of the way and we had an incredibly relaxing time. She also offered to take photos of us with Skytree in the background outside the onsen after the bath.
Alisa was amazing with us. She explained how to use the onsen properly, explaining every step. She also took us to the women's onsen and made everything enjoyable and easy to understand. After the experience, she bought us a drink at the konbini and gave us a beautiful piece of origami. I highly recommend adding to this experience if you're looking to learn about onsen and have the opportunity to visit a local one.
This was a wonderful experience, our host made it easy to meet up, provided clear instructions on the customs and what we needed to do in the Onsen. She made the entire night enjoyable. We had 4 springs to soak in + a cooling deck. It was a perfect evening of relaxation. And, we ended with beverages to complete the experience.
Great experience with Alisa! We had a wonderful time, and felt very comfortable at the onsen with our tattoos. Men and women will be separated of course, but the guide does a good job at explaining everything so you feel like you know what you’re doing and where to go. We will be back!
Alisa was a kind and wonderful host! We left the onsen feeling calm and relaxed. The onsen is somewhat of a community bath house vs. a scenic, tranquil onsen. That said, it had 5 different bath types to use which was nice and not being judged because of tattoos was a relief.
Alisa was wonderful! This was our first time in a Japanese onsen, so having someone there to walk me throug hteh process was so incredibly helpful. She was friendly, warm, and professional, and I felt completely comfortable throughout the bathing experience with her. If you have tattoos (or even if you don't) and are looking for someone to guide you through the onsen process, I would highly recommend booking this.
