Reviews
very insightful tour of the Tsukiji market where a thousand activities seem to be going on all at the same time. vibrant scene with colourful cast of characters selling everything from fish to mochis. if you want a taste of local Japanese lifestyle, and are prepared to stand in long lines everywhere patiently at popular eating outlets, you must go for this one!
This was my top favorite activity to do in Tokyo, and I mean it. One of my wishes was to go to a fish market and try all kinds of food, and our guide, Maki-san, was wonderful, open-minded, and quite charming. I recommend this experience 100%, you not only get to see and eat all kinda of sea food, but also know quite a bit about the culture. Maki-san translated everything to us, and took us to a nearby shrine and read our luck. Lovely experience.
great tour! she is knowledgeable and informative. we even did a sake tasting. she is friendly and able to answer all our questions. thanks for a great tour!
Maki is very kind and thoughtful contacting us in advance and made us very comfortable. We learned a lot with regards to the local manners when visiting honganji temple and tsukiji market. We tried out tasty local snacks and fresh seafoods as well as sake. Many thanks to Maki and appreciate the time spent exploring the places.
Masaki is such a wonderful guide! very knowledgeable and kind. brought us to all the places at Tsukiji. very comfortable and high recommended!
My 9yr old daughter and I booked a tour with our guide Maki. she did such a good job taking us around the market. She did a great job finding treats for both our tastes and was very knowledgeable and insightful. would highly recommend
Keko was an amazing tour guide and was very patient with our kids. She showed us tons of great vendors and knew about places to sit and eat that we never would have found on our own. The kids really enjoyed learning about the history and Keko happily answered all of their questions. Highly recommend for your first day in Tokyo if it’s your first time.
Our guide was insightful and helpful, guiding us through the bustling market with deft choices on food to sample. Having a local guide broke the language barrier at many stalls, enabling us to learn more and have a deeper experience. 10/10
The tour at Tokyo’s Tsukiji Fish Market was an incredible experience! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, taking us through the market's vibrant stalls while sharing fascinating insights about the fresh seafood. We enjoyed tasting a variety of delicious, freshly prepared dishes. The personalized attention made the tour special, and the food was absolutely amazing. If you're a food lover, this tour is a must-do for an authentic Tokyo experience!
This tour was a delight! Maki, our guide, knew the area well, navigated the crowds with ease and shared her enthusiasm for all the huge variety of foods. She was so friendly and helpful! she took photos for us which allowed us to focus on the food which was great. The food offerings were bewildering! Best bites - scallop BBQ'd on the shell with a blowtorch and the fresh grapes. Cautionary note - pickled here means brined, no vinegar involved. I was disappointed that I didn't have space to try everything. Definitely recommend.
