⛷️❄️Hongcheon Daemyung Ski Resort Full-Day Fun｜From Morning Till Night🔥 Day 3 of our 6-day, 5-night ski trip, our family set off early to Hongcheon Daemyung Ski Resort (Vivaldi Park Ski World). We played from 11 AM to 6 PM, which was a real test of endurance, but the kids didn't want to leave🤣 Overall rating 4⭐️, with some room for improvement. 🎿 Ski Resort Features Hongcheon Daemyung Ski Resort is one of the largest ski resorts in Korea, with complete facilities and clear slope classifications: ✔ Beginner slope (suitable for beginners and children) ✔ Intermediate slope ✔ Advanced slope ✔ Night skiing sessions The site management is orderly, the cable car frequency is high, and the overall operation is mature. The ski resort, resort mall, restaurants, and supermarket are concentrated in the same area, making it very convenient. If you don't want to just ski, the park also has Hongcheon Daemyung Snowyland where you can experience snow entertainment activities. 🕒 Suggested Time Budget ⚠️ Be sure to allow at least 1 hour to handle: • Ticket exchange • Equipment rental • Changing ski boots • Using the Locker Queuing time will increase during peak hours, especially on weekends and holidays, so arrive early. 🔐 Locker Precautions How to use the Locker: 1️⃣ Pay at the self-service machine (cash or credit card) 2️⃣ Set a password to lock 3️⃣ Save the password or take a photo record ⚠️ Key reminder: The Locker can only be locked once, and you need to pay again if you need to use it after unlocking. This is indeed not very user-friendly and deducts points for family travelers who need to frequently retrieve items. 🚗 Location and Transportation The ski resort is located in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon-do, South Korea, about 1.5 hours' drive from Seoul. 🚘 Driving is the most convenient 🚌 You can take a ski shuttle bus directly from downtown Seoul to the resort 🚇 You can also take the subway and transfer to a bus (longer time) Overall, transportation is convenient, and it is also a popular weekend ski destination for many Seoul residents. ✨ Summary Hongcheon Daemyung Ski Resort has complete facilities, is large in scale, and has complete entertainment facilities. The locker system is a slight drawback, but the overall experience is still positive. The most important thing is that the children have fun, and the family can create memories together in the snow. this is the first time we booked trainer for skiing but the staff are really nice and supportive. the coach guides us in detail and she is very funny. she also took a lot of fun and hilarious pictures for us. another thing is that we didnt book the trip in the package, just clothes and coach only, but when we asked for trip from Vivaldi to Seoul, they still strongly supported us even there are only 3 of us on the shuttle bus. such an unforgettable memory ever. sincerely thanks Klook and staffs so much 🙏🏻

Our family of four (two adults and two children) booked a two-night, three-day trip through Klook that included a day of ski lift tickets and equipment, and a day of Snowyland tickets. I felt that Klook didn't really write out the itinerary completely, so at first, we didn't know what to do next. For example, we departed from Seoul at 7:00 AM. Then, we actually drove to a place to rent ski suits and hats, stopping there for about 20 minutes. The ski suits would be returned to this rental shop on the last day, but the hats had to be returned to the 2nd floor of Building C by 6:00 PM on the second day. See? This information wasn't written on Klook at all, so you have no idea how to arrange your three-day trip. If you plan to ski on the third day, you're out of luck because you won't have a hat. I originally thought there would be a guide on the tour bus to explain these things, but there wasn't. There was only someone at the meeting point who sent you off on the bus. They mainly contacted you via WhatsApp. Also, the 7:00 AM bus to the ski resort was super bumpy, and a lot of children were complaining about feeling unwell. When we arrived at Building B of the hotel, everyone gathered their luggage in a corner (as shown in the picture), so there was no need to worry about storing luggage. On the first and second days, I booked a total of three one-on-two lessons and one group class. Each instructor had a different teaching style, but one thing was certain: if you're bringing young children, it's best to wait until they're at least five years old. This is because there's a lot of equipment for children, and it takes at least an hour to put it all on and get their ski boots and skis. Children are also slow and don't understand English very well. Basically, if you choose a one-on-two lesson for two hours, the instructor can only take care of the younger child, so you might as well choose a one-on-one lesson and practice on your own. A two-hour, one-on-two lesson costs NT$6,600. Some of the instructors here can speak a little Chinese, but most of them speak English. Also, if you want to learn to ski, carrying four skis, four poles, and a child to the ski area is hell. We started with a group class, but I left after half an hour because our four-year-old brother couldn't keep up at all, which would drag everyone down, and I felt very embarrassed. Our family bought our own ski suits from Taobao, and then we rented the ski lift tickets and equipment separately on the first day. On the second day, we used the ski lift tickets and equipment included in the two-night, three-day package. On the third day, we went to Snowyland. Also, beginners should try not to choose the 3:30 PM class because the moving walkway closes at 5:00 PM, so if the class goes until 5:30 PM, there will be half an hour where you don't know what to do. It's best to choose a class in the morning. There are far fewer people then. There are the most people at noon, and it's also dangerous when there are a lot of people. Even if you don't fall, you might get hit by someone else. The instructors are generally very serious, especially the second day's instructor, June. She almost had to hold my younger brother the entire time in order to teach me.

Good experience but however I feel it can be quite overwhelming with many different groups coming together at the same time. Can be better with better organizing in the whole process.

Safety: For your first time skiing, don't go to the intermediate slopes by yourself. The beginner slopes are safer and more fun.

Booked a 1hr basic lesson with clothes and equipment for my husband and son. This is their first-time to ski and it is recommended to have a professional instructor to teach them the basic of skiing. Highly recommended.

the team was great in arranging on whatsapp the day before. Meeting up with manager was straightforward and items were pre-prepared. Instructor was able to teach us well too and really picked up new skills on how to ski! After the class, you get to free and easy too

Beginners should avoid the 3:30 PM class if possible because the escalators close at 5 PM. Morning classes are best, the fewest people are there. It gets crowded when the classes start being taught in Chinese. Most of the teachers speak English.

I was a complete skiing beginner and Cielo was an amazing coach! She was super patient, took great care of me the whole time, and explained everything clearly so I could actually improve and have fun. Thanks to her, I learned so much in just one session.
