as expected, it was a long bus ride going to tateyama and getting back. we enjoyed the snow although it was rainy, cloudy and snow wall was closed because of the bad weather. the tour guide was friendly. we loved the bento lunch, it was fulfilling.

Our tour guide, Ms. Noda, and the driver were both very polite. They gave clear instructions on when to board the bus, and important information was broadcast via machine in Mandarin, English, and Korean. They also approached non-Japanese customers to provide written reminders in Chinese. The itinerary itself wasn't particularly special, as it simply followed the mountain road. Two hours at Murodo was definitely not enough time, though it was sufficient if you only wanted to see the Snow Wall and buy souvenirs there. Lunch was a bento box; the value for money would be even better if a light dinner was also provided. The 'Alpine Village' mentioned in the itinerary was actually a rest stop on the way there, and of course, it was much less crowded on the return journey. The driver drove very steadily, and there was always a rest stop to stretch our legs after about 1.5 hours of driving.

This was one of the best experiences during our trip. Everything was well-organized and hassle-free since transportation was already arranged. The views along the alpine route were absolutely breathtaking especially the snow wall. Definitely worth it if you want to experience the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route without the stress of planning everything on your own.

Got played out by the weather forecast. It was supposed to be fair weather but ended up raining throughout most of the trip. It's the one place where you can see snow covered mountains up close even in early June. The snow walls are not as majestic as about a quarter of the snow has melted but still a sight. If you are in for a hike, do explore the Mikurigaike Pond which offers stunning views of the Murodo volcanic plateau. I would have enjoyed it thoroughly if not for the weather, but it's still quite an experience I must say, hiking in the rain and blasting wind.

The meeting point is diagonally opposite McDonald's in the ESCA underground street. It is best to go there the day before to have a meal and check out the meeting point. The tour guide was very nice and would tell you a little bit about the lunch. We would gather at 7:10 at noon and would not wait for anyone. If you arrived early, you could buy McDonald's for breakfast. You would stop at a rest stop along the way to have lunch, and then go up the mountain. There would be no internet after passing the Tateyama toll booth. There will be internet access at the top of the mountain. After getting off the bus, you can take some photos of the snow wall and then go to the entrance to buy souvenirs. You can also go to the third-floor observation deck to take commemorative photos for 2,000 yuan. You must wear sunglasses, whether it is sunny or cloudy, the intensity of the reflection from the snow will hurt your eyes. Although it was raining, luckily we were fine.

snow wall was kinda low in means of height when we visited. i recommend going mid april for the snow wall. be prepared for 11-12 hours of just sitting on the bus. the view was worth it though. the food was also good. i loved the smoked fish, the rice, the pudding with strawberry syrup. i love it all

Despite the long bus ride, the trip was worth it. The tour guide tried her best to keep us informed and provided interesting facts throughout the bus ride. The bus drivers did a great job maneuvering safely through the mountainous winding rode. There were many tours going on that morning but the check-in point was very organized and everything was clearly labeled to reduce any confusion you may have.

well organized tour, only thing is the tour guide is Japanese, and she apologied for her little english spoken, and shared a translated english guide paper with us. Tetayama alpine snow wall route really beautiful and worth long ride. Lunch at Tetayama village is very nice chicken hotpot with veg rice. Highly recommended!

The journey was very long, spend more than 10h on the road: departed at 8 am, reached there about 1.30 pm. Left at 3.40 pm, reached Nagoya at 9.20 pm. I would recommend staying 1N if time permits.

The journey was well-planned, featuring two scheduled bus breaks each way. Although we encountered heavy fog during our trip, it cleared up slightly toward the end of our visit.
