Hwadam Botanic Garden&Gwangmyeong Cave&Korean Folk Village Day Tour

It is a very worthwhile day trip👍You can visit 3 attractions in one day. It is a very comfortable experience. Since the 3 tourist attractions are some distance away, if you have to arrange it by yourself, it is impossible to visit them in one day, so it is very different from the day tour. Good choice 👍 Guangming Cave is a very special place, you can walk into the deep cave, it is worth experiencing. It was the first time to make ice cream by myself. It was a surprise and tasted good. It turned out that it is not difficult to do it👏You can feed the sheep. They are very cute and obedient. The farm scenery is beautiful👍 The Hetanlin Ecological Arboretum, which I have always wanted to go to, is very beautiful. This is a place where I made a special trip to enjoy the beautiful red leaves in autumn. It was a worthwhile trip. If the visit could last longer, it would be more comfortable. Because this time it was a walking tour, I was able to get back to the car in time😆I was very satisfied with the beautiful scenery🎉

The itinerary was well arranged. We went to Tanhe Botanical Park first, and then to the Ethnic Cultural Village. After dinner at the cultural village, there was the first performance. We didn’t waste time waiting to watch the performance. Then we had free time to visit. By 4: 00 is the second performance. It is very good and beautiful. The farmers in the village... the houses of poor families... the houses of rich families... each has its own characteristics. Worth going.

The favorite part of the itinerary is the Hetan Forest. The Hetan Forest is very beautiful. The guide let us stay in the Hetan Forest for enough time. There is enough time to line up for the park car + go shopping. The ice cream experience is also very good. It is the first time to make ice cream by yourself. The chocolate taste is delicious. It’s very cold in Guangming Cave, so you can bring a thin coat. If you haven’t been there, you can go and see it once. There is not much surprise. The red wine inside is delicious. I want to take it back, but I will give up when I consider consignment. The day is a small group departure. Mr. Si Daonan is a Chinese who can speak Chinese. The six-seater car is very new and wide. The driver has good driving skills and sleeps soundly throughout the journey. The driver takes care of every member of the group throughout the journey, helping us take photos and recommending them. Seoul food, introduction of attractions, thank you for allowing us to have a very pleasant journey.

The tour guide was very good. He arrived at the meeting place half an hour before the scheduled meeting time and took the initiative to take photos for us. The first scenic spot I went to was Hetanlin. It happened that the red leaves turned red relatively late this year. The scenery when I went to Hetanlin after the 11th was very beautiful. Unfortunately, I couldn’t buy a cable car ticket to go up the mountain, but I still had enough time to complete the entire journey by myself. Although the second scenic spot, Gwangmyeong Cave, is said to be one of the top 100 scenic spots in Korea, it feels more artificial. If you have been to some natural caves in Southeast Asia, this place should feel more ordinary, but it has more historical significance for Koreans.

I definitely missed the peak of the foliage but it was still a pleasant visit. Autumn really is best experienced in a place like Hwadam Sup. The transfer was quite comfortable and even though the guide spoke minimal English, it was still a smooth transaction. The cave visit was also an interesting experience.

Hwadamsup was great. Didn't get to take the monorail because the tickets were sold out. Gwangmyeon cave was interesting because this is a new place to me. Saw cute children at the ranch. Arrival back at Myeongdong was about 7.30pm instead of 5pm.

One of my favorite! Booked this on Autumn Season - Hope I can come back soon and stay a little longer! I loved the place, our guide is friendly and contacts us thru viber. Loved it!

Our tour was adjusted to be from Hwadam Forest to Seoul Folk Village. However, it turned out to be great because we got to explore the SFV and even though many of the small exhibit stalls were not open due to winter time, the performance at the circle area (designated timings for the performance, so don’t miss it! 😊) was great. It’s a beautiful place if you’re looking for a glimpse of traditional Korean culture and history (and nice photograph backgrounds!!) 👍🏻 Gwangmyeong Cave was interesting and eye-opening because rarely do you get to explore an old mine-turned-cave place. Definitely was a great experience but do be aware that there is quite A BIT of stairs to climb because of how extensive the cave can be. Therefore, if you have knee/leg injury/elderly folk, do be careful and don’t move too quickly because it can be a little slippery at some areas! 😊 Lastly, ice cream making experience needless to say was just fun and it is a first time for me to make ice cream from just milk and ice (and a bit of effort 🤣) so if you want to have some small bonding with your friends/family it is a good opportunity! Apart from that, you get to feed some sheep too and snap some nice photos! Only drawback is that the place can seem a bit out of the way but.. does it matter when you’re being transported there anyway? 😜 Overall, good recommendation!

We went too early, and the maple leaves hadn't turned red yet, which was a little disappointing. However, I highly recommend taking a day trip to this place because the transportation is not very convenient. Although we didn't see the maple leaves turn red, the scenery inside the park was still very beautiful.
