Reviews
Reviews summaryWe had a great time visiting the Ayutthaya Temples. Our transportation there was very comfortable, and the group was not too big. Our guide, Nick, was very lovely, enthusiastic, and helpful in making our trip comfortable. I loved how everything was already arranged for us, especially the entrance fees. We just got off the bus and immediately had a talk about the history of the place, then free time to roam around. Overall, it was a good experience.
it was my second time taking this same guided tour and yes, it was still led by Nicky! as always, she was energetic and fantastic in every way, very patient and professional. This day tour was definitely worth it and as long as you put in the effort to listen and pay attention, you’ll enjoy a jampacked but well-paced tour of Ayutthaya’s historic heritage! absolutely recommend this
The Ayutthaya temples one-day tour was a fantastic experience and a great way to explore Thailand’s rich history in a short time. The temples were stunning, and the whole trip was well-organized and enjoyable despite the hot weather. A special shoutout to our tour guide, Nicky, who was incredibly energetic, engaging, and even kept everyone entertained by singing throughout the tour. It was even more impressive knowing she wasn’t feeling well, yet still gave her best to make sure everyone had a great time. Her enthusiasm really made the experience memorable!
【Walking Through World Heritage Sites|The Culture and History of the Ancient City of Ayutthaya】 Ayutthaya, once the capital of the Siamese kingdom, carries centuries of historical memory and cultural accumulation. Strolling among the ancient temples and monuments, the mottled red bricks and solemn pagodas not only witness the changing times but also present the profound foundation of intertwined faith and art. The Buddha head embraced by tree roots in Wat Mahathat symbolizes the coexistence of time and nature; the neatly arranged pagodas of Wat Phra Sri Sanphet showcase the order and glory of the former dynasty. The meaning of travel is not just about arriving, but about understanding civilization through walking and reading, and settling oneself through observation. The ancient city of Ayutthaya, with its tranquility and depth, offers a learning journey rich in historical depth.
I had an amazing Ayutthaya temples day tour! The temples in Ayutthaya are stunning, and everything was well organized. Our tour guide Nikki was both knowledgeable and funny, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended! 😊
Since this trip was with my 85-year-old mother-in-law, I booked a private tour because I was worried that her slow pace would inconvenience others on a group tour. It was more expensive than a group tour, so I hesitated a bit before booking, but in the end, I was very satisfied. I'm glad I booked it. I didn't catch his name correctly when he introduced himself at the beginning, so I'm attaching a photo of him with his permission. He was a fantastic guide! This private tour had a general course specified. However, since my mother-in-law's long-cherished elephant ride was not included in the tour, I consulted with him on the day of the tour and he readily agreed to change the itinerary. When my husband and I booked an Ayutthaya tour with another company last time, we were taken to an elephant ride without any choice, and the course was out of town, which was very disappointing. However, the Klook guide asked us, "Which ride would you prefer?" and allowed us to choose, so we were able to go to the ride we wanted. He also asked us what we wanted to eat for lunch, and when we requested "river prawns," he took us to a restaurant with a live shrimp pond frequented by locals, even though it was far from the Ayutthaya ruins. The prices were listed according to the size of the shrimp, and we were able to enjoy very fresh and delicious shrimp dishes with clear and transparent pricing. My mother-in-law, who is very particular about food, repeatedly said "Delicious!" and seemed very satisfied. In addition, the guide was always concerned about my elderly mother-in-law and made sure that she could get on and off safely and smoothly in busy areas. During the round trip in the car, he gave us detailed explanations of the history of Ayutthaya that were not in the guidebook (I was very satisfied because I love history), and he also gave us detailed information about the dangers and how to avoid them in the area for our itinerary for the following days. The drop-off locations were specified as either the hotel or the Jodd Fairs Night Market, but when my husband requested Khao San Road, he readily agreed and gave us detailed instructions on how to get back to our accommodation in Thong Lo from there, as well as precautions for Khao San Road, which was very helpful. On the way, he had plenty of ice-cold water ready in the car, which we drank many times. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy the tour without getting heatstroke in the heat. I am truly grateful to the guide. Thank you so much for your help this time.
We went at the end of March, so it was scorching hot, but we were able to enjoy ourselves while conserving energy by regularly returning to the spacious, cool bus. The water distribution was also very much appreciated. Our guide, Nicky, provided thorough explanations in Japanese. She also answered our questions with a smile, which was very helpful. Although it was a shame we couldn't ride an elephant, it was a very fulfilling Ayutthaya tour.
During a day trip, standing amidst the ruined temples and stupas of Ayutthaya, I was deeply moved by the poignant and desolate scene. It felt as if I was transported back to the glorious and magnificent era of ancient Thai civilization, yet also saddened by the destruction of civilization caused by human warfare and slaughter. Although the weather was extremely hot and the sun severely burned me, I still felt the trip was well worth it! Our tour guide, Sister Wan, endured the scorching sun the entire way, providing explanations in both English and Chinese. She worked incredibly hard, and I am very grateful!
I was guided by an experienced Thai-Chinese person who speaks Japanese. Besides learning about the historical background, it was great to have someone take photos for me, as my solo travel pictures tend to be mostly landscapes. Although it's the rainy season, it only drizzled occasionally, and there was no direct sunlight, making it comfortable. They even lent me an umbrella. On Sunday, the roads were clear, so we returned early. Lunch was a bit pricey, with tourist-level prices, but I didn't mind and enjoyed two beers with stir-fried morning glory in oyster sauce. Overall, it was a comfortable and good tour.
Today I participated in the Ayutthaya Chinese tour! ! I met Pisut Huang, our guide! He was really very kind. When we arrived early at the meeting point, he thoughtfully told us that we could go to the restroom in advance, etc.! After departure, he told us in detail the historical stories of Ayutthaya on the bus, so that we could have more time to visit after arriving at each point! Moreover, Pisut's introduction to history had a timeline order and picture aids, which allowed me to understand the royal history of Thailand in great detail! It was really interesting! If you have any historical questions you don't understand, ask Pisut, and he will explain patiently. At noon, he also recommended delicious Thai tom yum soup, pad kra pao rice, and Thai shrimp cakes, which were very delicious! ! It was really worth taking this tour! If you want to learn more about the royal history of Thailand, I sincerely recommend guide Pisut!
