Reviews
Guide
- Nestled amidst the lush green mountains and clear waters of Dujiangyan, Chengdu, lies a magical world exclusively for "forest elves" – the Dujiangyan Red Panda Forest Park. This themed park integrates scientific research and conservation, popular science education, and immersive experiences, making it one of the few large-scale science education bases in China where visitors can interact with red pandas at zero distance.
- The park is located in Huaxi Community, Puyang Street, Dujiangyan City, with a total investment exceeding 20 million yuan and covering an area of over 70 mu (approximately 11.5 acres). Breaking away from traditional zoo viewing models, the park has meticulously created six core sections: the Red Panda Wild Release Exploration and Tracking Park, the Scientific Research and Breeding Isolation Hall, the Behavioral Desensitization Training Camp, the Family Life Exhibition Area, the Outdoor Fun Science Park, and a themed leisure restaurant.
- Upon entering the park, the most anticipated experience is encountering the red pandas. The park emphasizes an interactive experience of "making friends with red pandas," unlike zoos where you observe them from behind glass. You can follow the forest boardwalks and search for them in the semi-wild free-range area. If you're lucky, these adorable little creatures might even stroll past your feet at a leisurely pace. Under the guidance of professional zookeepers, you'll also have the opportunity to hand-feed apple sticks to the red pandas, observing their round faces, fluffy reddish-brown fur, and distinctive ringed tails up close.
- In addition to the star red pandas, the park's entrance is also home to mischievous raccoons and soft, cute rabbits, which visitors can feed and interact with, adding more therapeutic joy to the journey. This is undoubtedly a paradise for family trips and animal lovers, offering an unforgettable forest healing journey.
