What to expect
📩Pre-departure notice:
- The day before departure, from 18:00-21:00, your butler/guide will contact you via WeChat. Please keep your phone on at all times.
- Both classic large groups and 2-8 person boutique small groups can enjoy free hotel pick-up service within Chengdu's Third Ring Road 🚗 in the morning;
⚠️Special attention:
- Classic large groups include entrance tickets to Bipenggou and Dagu Glacier 🎫; for 2-8 person small groups, all scenic spot tickets, sightseeing vehicles, ropeway, and battery cars need to be paid for by yourself. You can purchase tickets online in advance to save queuing time.
- The itinerary passes through areas inhabited by Tibetan and Qiang ethnic minorities. Please respect local customs and traditions, and do not casually touch prayer flags or Mani stones.
- The temperature difference between day and night on the plateau is large ❄️. Please be sure to prepare a windproof and warm thick coat. Small groups will receive a portable oxygen bottle to alleviate altitude sickness.
- In case of irresistible factors such as snow, rain, or traffic control, the guide may adjust the driving order, but the number of attractions visited will not be reduced.

- Pick-up within the Third Ring Road is available at 07:00, or you can gather at a unified location. The bus will depart on time. The specific meeting address will be notified by the guide the night before. The vehicle type is a multi-person tourist bus.
2-8 person boutique small group 🚙
- Free hotel pick-up service within the Third Ring Road starts at 07:00. The driver/guide will confirm the pick-up time in advance; for groups of 4 people or less, a 5-seater SUV will be provided; for 5-8 people, a 7-9 seater commercial vehicle will be arranged, which is spacious and comfortable.

Reviews
In October, the yellow foliage in Bipenggou is not yet at its peak, but there is a hint of early autumn, and snow can already be seen up on the mountains. Dagu Glacier is completely white now; taking the cable car up feels like stepping straight into winter, and the snow is thick enough to crunch underfoot. Visiting two spots in two days is a bit tight, and by the time I returned to Chengdu on the second day, I went straight back to the hotel and collapsed on the bed, too exhausted to move. However, personally, I feel the overall value for the price is truly fantastic!
Dagu Glacier is at a slightly high altitude, but with an oxygen canister, taking a few breaths right away helps you recover and makes you feel fine. The tour guide was quite capable, without any hard sells, and focused only on explaining the relevant attractions. Overall, it was pretty good, as it truly was a sightseeing-only tour without wasting time on shopping stops or anything like that. The scenery was quite beautiful, and some of the leaves in Bipenggou have already turned yellow, which has a lot of charm.
The bus tour had relatively spacious seats, and there were stops at service areas along the way. The hotels were carefully selected for comfort—clean, with reliable hot water, and not cold at night. The tour guide explained things clearly, didn't rush us, and there were no sales pitches. To be honest, it is quite tiring as the two-day itinerary is packed, but it feels well worth the trip. Just a reminder: it is very windy at the top of Dagu Glacier, so be sure to bring a hat, gloves, and sunglasses.
It just ended yesterday, and overall I am quite satisfied. The hotel was quiet and clean, and the van looked very new with convenient charging options. I loved the scenery very much; as someone from the south experiencing snow for the very first time, I had a wonderful time.
Playing in the snow is so much fun! I got back yesterday, and my legs are still a bit shaky today. Learning to snowboard was so exciting!
We chose the comfort hotel. The rooms were clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the hot water supply was very stable—taking a hot shower after returning from playing in the snow is so important. The bus was in good condition with adjustable seats. There were many turns on the mountain road, but the driver drove steadily. The bus ride was quite long, but overall it was fine and not uncomfortable.
