Big Almaty Lake

Very nice tour. The tour started early that beats the crowd of other tourist. Very nice tour guide as well. Easy to book and instamd confirmation.

Worth half a day, Big Almaty Lake is so beautiful with its turquoise water. perfect spot for taking photos. the crisp mountain air sets the perfect background to relax. We were also lucky that we were able to enter the Alma Ata Gorge, this is requires a bit of a hike but the views are worth it. bring sensible shoes with good traction. the tour guide was very attentive and spoke in clear english, even answered additional questions from us even on topics not related to the tour.

Worth it if you dont want to spend 5-6 hours hiking so you can enjoy at the lake itself. However there were other stops like the gorges which to me were not that worth it, wish there was more time at the Big Almaty Lake itself

Lovely locations but many issues. Some seatbelts on van broken. Was just told ' That's Kazakhstan '. Driver and cars to lake are terrible. Our guy in white ford ute was simply dangerous and vehicles are old, dodgy. Local issue. We refused to get same ute on return journey. that old beater Pajero broke down. Waited 20mins for another.
