Kaifeng Prefecture Scenic Area, Henan

• Central Axis Building Complex: Along the central axis from the government gate to Meihua Hall, visitors can see the main hall, deliberation hall, etc., to understand the internal layout of the government office and the administrative structure during the Northern Song Dynasty.
• Bao Gong Sitting in Reverse in the Southern Yamen: In Meihua Hall in the northern part of the scenic area, visitors can see a replica of Bao Gong's "sitting in reverse in the Southern Yamen" trial scene, and there are vivid wax figures of Bao Gong presiding over cases.
• Government Office Prison Administration Display: The prison cells and death row cells to the west of the government gate truly restore the prison layout, torture instruments, and prison administration during the Northern Song Dynasty.
• Rich Ancient-Style Performances: The scenic area regularly stages ancient-style cultural performances such as "Opening Ceremony of the Yamen" and "Bao Gong's Trial" to enhance visitors' immersive experience.

During the Northern Song Dynasty, Kaifeng Prefecture was where Bao Zheng, also known as Bao Qingtian, once served as the Prefect of Kaifeng. The Kaifeng Prefecture of the Song Dynasty was long ago destroyed by floods. The Kaifeng Prefecture that visitors see today is a man-made, ancient-style attraction rebuilt in recent years.

The gate of Kaifeng Prefecture faces south, and visitors enter the scenic area from here to begin their tour. The scenic area is centered on buildings such as the main hall, deliberation hall, and Meihua Hall, with various large and small halls on both sides, including Tianqing Temple, Mingliyuan, Qianlong Palace, Qingxin Tower, the prison, Yingwu Tower, and Yinbin Hall. Each hall is not very large. Visitors can follow the scenic area map, tour the attractions on the central axis, and then visit some of the attractions on both sides.

In the main hall and deliberation hall on the central axis, visitors can see the internal scenes of the government office during the Northern Song Dynasty; in Meihua Hall in the northern part of the scenic area, there is a replica of Bao Gong's "sitting in reverse in the Southern Yamen" trial scene, which also features wax figures of Bao Gong presiding over cases; to the west of the government gate, there are landscapes such as the prison cells, the Prison God Temple, death row cells, and male and female prison cells, arranged according to the conditions of the Northern Song Dynasty, with sculptures, torture instruments, and various scenes reflecting the prison administration and affairs of that time; in Qianlong Hall and Qingxin Tower to the east of the central axis, visitors can see statues of three emperors: Emperor Taizong of Song, Emperor Qinzong of Song, and Emperor Zhenzong of Song, as well as biographical introductions of successive Prefects of Kaifeng during the Northern Song Dynasty.

While visiting the scenic area, visitors can also watch many ancient-style performances, such as "Opening Ceremony of the Yamen" and "Bao Gong's Trial".
