Chartered car tour Dunhuang one-day chartered car tour (optional Mogao Grottoes/Mingsha Mountain/Yumen Pass/Yardang Ghost City/Yulin Grottoes)

We’ve arrived at our hotel! We would like to say that we had such an incredible experience with our driver, 百合, during our trip to Yumen Pass and Yardang National Geopark. From the very start, she was so professional and thoughtful, even showing up at our campsite 15 minutes early just to make sure we were ready to go. The journey involves a lot of time on the road, but she made it feel so effortless. Her driving is so incredibly smooth and steady that we felt completely safe the entire time. We felt so comfortable that we ended up falling asleep for a good portion of the ride! When we were awake, she was such a joy to talk to, sharing so much interesting things about Dunhuang and giving us great recommendations for local spots to check out. She also went above and beyond by preparing a huge stash of bottled water for us, which was a total lifesaver in the desert heat; we didn't have to worry about being thirsty. We are so grateful for her amazing driving skills and hospitality.

it was fun by having Fu as my driver. Very accommodating to my needs, sharing excitement about his home town Dunhuang and some thought provoking discussions on culture and politics. it’s easy enough to use a translation app to converse. A great way to tour Yardang Geo Park, Yumen Pass and Sikh Yichancheng in one day.

I was spoilt by having Ren as my driver. Very accommodating to my needs and of the last minute changes from golden week queues and helping me arrange tickets until I knew what to do solo. His patience enabled me to see all that I wanted and at a leisurely pace (no great feat during golden week). I was provided with site and historic information on route via a translation app. Combined this was a most efficient way to explore Dunhuang

Due to time constraints, we limited the tour to the Yemen Pass and Yauguan Pass. The guide reorganized everything to suit our needs.
