Miyazaki & Kumamoto Day Trip: Takachiho Gorge (optional lunch/boating experience) & Mount Aso & Kusasenri (departing from Fukuoka)

this tour was really good if you love animals and want to see them up close. I enjoyed the guide Zhu Zhu was so sweet and even she spoke little English she was so great and made sure I was able to follow along with rest of the group. She was so delightful and kindhearted, helped me order all the foods form all the shops and stores and offered me her umbrella and even the sweet apples. I highly recommend this route you get to see lots in one day!

I had an amazing experience on the Miyazaki and Kumamoto Nature & Culture Tour! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and every destination showcased the beauty of Japan’s nature, history, and culture. A special thanks to our tour guide, Helen, who was exceptional throughout the trip. She is highly fluent in both English and Mandarin, making the tour informative and enjoyable for everyone. Helen was patient in explaining the history and significance of each location, always ensuring that the group stayed safe and together. She even went the extra mile by sharing fascinating Japanese myths and legends related to the places we visited, which made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area. Helen truly deserves a five-star rating for her professionalism, knowledge, and dedication! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A really fun day, from taking the boats at Takachiho Gorge to seeing Mt Aso. They give you plenty of time at each stop to enjoy your day, the lunch was amazing, it was so much food. They transfer back to the buses, so your able to spend more time at Mt Aso. At Mt Aso you can walk around a little track on a horse, and also get some great pictures. Kaku was a great guide, and full of information!

Throwback review from a trip on 18April26. This was one of the longer-duration packages to Takachiho Gorge, which included boat rowing and lunch. Although we couldn’t visit Mt. Aso, the guide still brought us near the crater area for photo opportunities. He also extended our time at Kusasenri and recommended some must-try local food. A big shout-out to our guide, Sun Nan, who was professional, attentive, and shared plenty of great tips on what to do and eat throughout the trip.

Writing It was a truly wonderful travel experience. The scenery was beautiful, and the lunch was especially impressive. We also had the chance to stop by some interesting shops along the way. Our tour guide, Sun Nan, took excellent care of everyone in the group. They were very attentive, friendly, and always ready to help—especially with taking photos for us, which made the experience even more memorable. Thank you for such a fantastic tour experience.

Mr. sun our guide was excellent. he was informative helpful kind. boat ride in gorge was amazing although a bit chaotic as boats had to turn around and return to starting place. lunch was amazing. gorge trip was physically demanding up and down steps but views breathtaking. all in all a good trip and highly recommended. volcano trip was amazing too. but start of trip was a bit chaotic at Lawson oriental hotel as we have to look for tour guide in large crowd. perhaps giving us the number and name of guide with a sign would be better as we had to ask many Gogo guides before finding right one

This tour has long travelling but all worth it. Nature views are spectacular and you shoudn’t miss! The beef lunch was perfect too. This tour is highly recommended for nature lovers and those who wants an amazing experience.

i had so much fun! i’m a solo traveler and it was very comfortable. the food are nice too and the tour guide (I can’t remember his name but he said it has “soon” like coming “soon”) was also very nice! thank you so much for a very smooth and fun day!

Beautiful and totally worth it! A real marvel – you'll regret it if you don't go. The guide's service was excellent. Make sure you go down to kayak and take pictures; the view is much more stunning than from above. The weather is pleasantly cool. The scenery at the volcano viewpoint is absolutely gorgeous, and the air is fantastic! The food they provided was incredibly delicious. Definitely worth every penny and more!

This experience was totally amazing, due to good weather conditions beautiful scenery and the best tour guide we could have hoped for for. Thomas if you read this you were awesome.
