Tokyo Departure: Car Rental with Driver to Mount Fuji/Hakone/Nikko - English-speaking Driver

I was very impressed with Next Tour's service for a 10-hour private Fuji tour. The team's coordination was excellent; they created a chat group in advance to confirm the itinerary and contact numbers. Our driver, Mr. Shrestha, arrived before the scheduled time, was very polite, and drove smoothly and safely. Even though it rained on the day of our tour and the weather wasn't ideal, making it difficult to see Mount Fuji clearly, Mr. Shrestha made an effort to take care of us and helped us check in at various spots. He communicated well in English, which made the trip very smooth. I highly recommend this service for anyone traveling to Japan with family or friends.

Before booking, I read reviews from several people who gave 1-2 stars, which made me a bit nervous about hitting a jackpot of problems. However, our booking for this trip turned out to be not bad at all. 1. They arrived on time, with only a slight delay due to traffic, which is understandable. 2. The driver was very politely dressed, wearing a suit with a white undershirt. He was Chinese but spoke English well. He was courteous and explained things without taking advantage of us, not being difficult, but also being straightforward. Customers should do their homework regarding the distances for their trip. If you're going sightseeing, you need to read the terms and conditions carefully before booking. You also need to know how much time it takes to get to each place, because there will be charges for both time and distance if you deviate from the conditions. The staff explained everything clearly until we understood. The staff member was patient, friendly, spoke very politely, and was also beautiful. Thank you for a good trip, even though we couldn't visit all the places due to time constraints. Thank you for taking us to see the beautiful cherry blossoms that were in full bloom. This trip was fun. We were charged for extra distance but not for extra time. The driver calculated everything fairly and straightforwardly. Good ^_^

I am so glad that we book this experience!!! Not only was it super convenient to have our own car, but our driver was excellent. We had a general overview of where we wanted to go, and with his expert recommendations, we were able to get the views and the experience we wanted. At one point, he even took us to the famous Lawson’s, as well as finding us the most beautiful spot with so many cherry blossoms, and Fuji views!! Totally recommend as it changes a generic day trip to Fuji into a personal one that you can customize without feeling rushed.

kudos to the driver who was flexible to make amends to the route and made the trip enjoyable and less rush. Brought us to the highest accesible point (available) - 5th Station. This was probably the best part of the 10-hour journey as we were able to sight a few minutes of snow when we alighted from the car! Definitely recommend to utilize this service if you’re looking for a fuss-free and private ride with young kids!

We had an amazing experience touring Mt. Fuji with David! He was incredibly friendly and kind from the moment he picked us up, and he made the entire day feel relaxed and enjoyable. He created a great itinerary to maximize our day trip and his knowledge of all the best viewpoints and spots around the mountain was very appreciated. We felt well-taken care of the whole time, and the photos we got were unbelievable. Highly recommend touring with David!

Driver, Mr Zhao, is punctual and friendly. The whole trip is very comfortable and hassle-free. We had our own customize itinerary and the driver is accomodating and is acceptable to last minute changes. Highly recommended.

I had a great driver name John. At the very beginning he was 15 minutes early. It was a family of eight includingy artistic daughter. He loaded our bags and my walker and was ready to go. He took us to all our sites and did it with great professionalism. We will be coming back and I'm just going to ask for him. God Bless you!!!!

The driver is very handsome. He is from mainland China and has been working in Japan for many years, so he can communicate in Chinese! We will contact you the day before, and we will contact you when we arrive on time. In particular, someone came to the first floor of the hotel to find us and help us carry our luggage! The dress was quite formal and the driving was very stable~ This time we were traveling through Karuizawa, so I made a bit of a miscalculation! Because it takes 10 hours to charter a car, and the round-trip drive takes 6 hours, so you only have 4 hours to go sightseeing. It is recommended that this kind of chartered car is a day trip to Mount Fuji or Hakone. It is not cost-effective to go to Karuizawa! It was 35 minutes overtime after we came back, so we still had to pay him 5,000 yen (you have to pay for being late for 1 hour), but overall it was okay. The car was nice and the seats were very comfortable. The speakers in the car were JBL, so cool! I still have to emphasize, It’s really hot~

The driver will contact you via WhatsApp one night before your booking. It’s super convenient if you are planning to visit places outside Tokyo. You can also choose the option to customise your own route. We have 5 people and able to do Kamakura and Mt Fuji within 10 hours. With private charter service, you can definitely travel to those hidden spot for nice photos comfortably and without spending too much of time to find a public transport.
