June is the operator, she texted me after I have signed up the day trip and before the actual day, texted me again and informed me who is the tour guide. On the day, our tour guide - Michelle pick us up on time and we have a wonderful time. She is very good and knowledgeable. She would explained everything along the trip and we get to see a lot of cranes & enjoy the river hiking. This is a very unique experience and we all like it so much.

Our tourguide Sebastian is really nice and heart-warming. There is quite a lot of cranes to see and Sebastian kindly took us to different places to observe the animal with provision of binoculars. (provided by tour guide very kindly) The river trekking is manageable with beautiful scene. You might not be able to walk on ice because of the weather not cold enough but still there is a floating bridge for you to walk on the river. Make sure you bring enough clothes and heat pack. The best thing is the group size is pretty small so the tour guide literally can communicate with everyone.

Hantan river is about 2hrs drive from Seoul. Though the journey is slightly long, the breathtaking scenary along the river makes it a worthwhile trip. Our tour is a small group. Hence, we have Sebastian as both our guide and driver. He makes sure we get to see the cranes and ensures we covered all the itineary. Appreciated his effort very much! Overall, We are very happy we selected this package and highly recommend this.

Michelle Hung is a very kind and professional tour guide. Her English is very good. She explained various geological and Korean history and culture knowledge during the trip. The focus of this group is definitely the seasonal red-crowned crane. The tour guide took us to the protection observation area. The small private room allows you to fully enjoy this group of rare and beautiful guests. In addition, the hiking on Hantan River is also a worthwhile trip. Although the price is slightly more expensive than other itineraries on the platform, it is definitely worth it for travelers who love nature!

Our guide Jimmy was very friendly and knowledgable when bringing us around the countryside. He also had very good recommendations when it came to lunch and even helped us to translate when ordering from the local restaurant as we only spoke English. The Crane watching experience was also very beautiful with a very good and unintrusive view of the plains where the birds congregate. The trek along the Hantan river was also very scenic and picturesque as advertised. On top of the big list items Jimmy also brought us around to a couple of nice scenic prototyping locations in between certain points of our journey. All around a great day out and a very worthwhile day trip.

Sebastian, our tour guide and driver, provided a great interactive experience. We saw many cranes, and the river trekking view was fantastic. We were even provided with binoculars for crane watching, which was thoughtful of the tour agency! The entire trip offered a unique experience, a different side of Korea.

The tour guide was enthusiastic and attentive, and the car was spacious and comfortable. The trip brings another side of Korea. Hiking the mountain road is not too difficult, the scenery is beautiful, and seeing wild birds is an alternative experience. Just sit and wait for every moment of surprise. Our tour guide took us to a noodle restaurant for lunch at our own expense, which was cheap and delicious.

Michelle Hong was our tour guide and the unsung hero of this perfect trip. Many thanks to her for returning to her homeland from the United States to introduce us to one of Korea's four UNESCO World Heritage sites. In addition to providing in-depth and clear explanations of the sights themselves, Michelle was also very willing to answer the group members' various questions about Korean life, history, and culture. I especially noticed Michelle's meticulous care for each member, her excellent time management, her ability to create a lively atmosphere, and her rich experience in flexibly optimizing the itinerary according to the actual conditions of the day, making the overall experience even more perfect. Whether it was the red-crowned crane viewing or the ice trekking, both greatly exceeded my expectations. The migratory birds flying freely in the morning light and nature presented an incredibly harmonious and beautiful scene, and Michelle had prepared binoculars with sufficient clarity for us in advance, making the crane viewing process flawless. The Korean meal, which was decided by vote at noon, was delicious and also a great Korean cultural experience. As for ice trekking, the canyon landscape was even more geologically beautiful, set against the soft reflections of the ice surface and snow. Although the hiking route as a whole was not strenuous or difficult, if you have reduced mobility, you will still encounter several sections along the way that require climbing or stepping over stones. Since this is a winter-only itinerary, be sure to prepare your own windproof and warm clothing. However, precisely because it is winter-only, and a UNESCO-certified site, coupled with Michelle's professional guidance and meticulous care, even though the itinerary is far from the capital and requires early starts and late returns, if you love the beauty of nature, please feel free to sign up!

We had an amazing experience on our Hantan River UNESCO site and cranes-watching tour, all thanks to our wonderful guide, Michelle. Her enthusiasm was infectious from the start, and her deep knowledge of the area truly enriched the entire journey. Michelle took time to explain the history, geology, and wildlife in a way that was engaging and easy to understand, which made us appreciate the sites even more. What stood out most was how attentive she was. Michelle constantly looked out for every member of the group, ensuring we were safe, comfortable, and didn’t miss any special sightings. Her care and professionalism made the tour smooth and enjoyable. Thank you, Michelle, for going above and beyond. You made the experience memorable, meaningful, and fun. Highly recommended!
