it was a wonderful experience to see snow at the Kokusai Snow resort. The travel guide was helpful and tried to make sure we were comfortable and safe despite the weather of heavy snow. I did not get my ski cable car tickets in my package due to some hicups. however, the guide did get it for me last minute and kiddos to her. overall, it's a good experience and value for $ day tour package for skiing and snowboarding
I booked this trip since my daughter told me she wanted to ski but the other family members- kids and older adults did not want to. There’s options if you don’t ski- there’s snowboarding, snow shoes, etc. Sledding is free with this booking. Plenty of restaurants for lunch - hot ramen, pizza, rice meals, etc. so those who didn’t ski can still stay warm and comfortable inside. The winter was very cold , snow powder white and very beautiful scenery. The kids loved playing in the snow.
You will spend morning up to closing time in this resort. ski or snow boarding is a must otherwise, you'll get bored and ride gondola for the view only.
Bus going to Kokusai ski resort is on time. make sure be at the meeting point before departure. guide will arrange if you need instructor, gear and wear.
I really enjoyed the lesson as the instructor was really helpful. The guide was also helpful and always checked us if we are okay. Definitely worth it!
Hinghly recommended tour if visiting Sapporo. My family and I had a wonderful time, we tried skiing and snow sleding, it was super fun. . View at the mountain cafe was the highlight. Plenty of restos to choose from. Bus was very convenient and on time.
We got the privilege of being the only one to book for the day so we got the coaster to ourselves. It was an amazing experience! You just have to make sure to prepare money for extra rentals and cable car if you’ll go on top.
we just been here and we enjoyed playing with the snow. we tried skiing but turned out it is hard but we enjoyed it for the experience.
Kokusai was closed due to bad weather so we went to Fu Ski Resort instead. Nana (our guide) was very patient and did her best to make everything work despite the changes in itinerary. Fu Ski Resort was great. It has slopes for beginners and more experienced skiers. Unfortunately, it had to stop its operations early due to bad weather conditions. Great thing we will get partial refund for the changes in the tour.
Overall, it's still pretty good, but it's not enough practice. We have to gather at 4:15 PM, which doesn't feel like enough time to ski. Also, the lockers are one-time use only and cost 400 yen every time you need to get something out, which is a bit speechless. Everything else is fine. The convenience stores in Japan have the same prices everywhere, so that's good, and you can just buy water there.
