The National Gallery Singapore is one of the best cultural attractions in Singapore. The museum combines history, art, and modern architecture in a very impressive way. Housed inside the former City Hall and Supreme Court buildings, the gallery preserves Singapore’s heritage while showcasing beautiful Southeast Asian artworks. Visitors can enjoy paintings, sculptures, and interactive exhibits that reflect the culture and history of the region. The galleries are spacious, clean, and peaceful, creating a relaxing atmosphere for learning and appreciation. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the facilities are well maintained. The museum is also educational because it provides detailed information about artists and historical events. Overall, the National Gallery Singapore offers an inspiring and memorable experience for tourists, students, and art lovers alike.
the gallery is so clean, bright & spacious. The directional is a bit confusing but overall experience is reachable. I really like how clean it is and friendly receptionist too. Another thing is there are a lot of China tourists are filling up the bridge & other spaces just to take their "influencer" photo...like I mean what's the meaning of visiting gallery right...They blocked the way where people walk forth and back etc.
ease of booking on Klook: We booked this unaware that it was International Women's day celebration - we got free pass! The staff advised to try to ask for a refund. Thanks to Klook Customer Experience Team, they listened and heard us.
I had a great time in National Gallery Singapore. The place was huge so you need 2-3 or even 1 day to explore the whole place. I saw a lot of paintings from my country and I feel very proud that our great artists are recognized in the international level. I took loys of photos too because there are lots of instagrammable spots in there. It is must visit place in Singapore.
The National Museum was previously the old Supreme Court of Singapore. 5 floors of art and history about surrounding countries in SEA. Claiming the ticket was a bit confusing but the staff were very friendly and patient with our queries. Would highly recommend going to this place as a part of your Singapore itinerary!
Gallery has a lot of interesting art pieces. Went on a weekday so there was no waiting time. Staff were really helpful and as an ARMY, I didn’t have any difficulty finding the places he shot his latest MV. You can also check their site as they have a tour that is specifically made to trace his steps.
Due to the package I availed, I am able to access all exhibits/galleries. I spent estimated 4hours and man it wasn’t enough. I was likely only able to cover less than half since I spent most of my time in the city hall buidling and much less in the supreme court which was a bummer. The ac became to cold at some point so bring a light jacket if you’re spending more than 2 hours inside.
The National Gallery Singapore is ideal for appreciating various art forms, including paintings, photography, and sculptures by artists from diverse backgrounds. It's also great for admiring the beautiful architecture of the former City Hall and Supreme Court buildings.
