This is far from Hiroshima station but worth it to see the 1/10 scale of batteship yamamoto. before going in the museum you'll a decomissioned submarine near the place. They also have a collectible coin.
There are many people queuing up to buy on the spot. Although the admission price is very cheap, it is cheaper to buy on klook. Recommended
It was a great exhibit not only about the Yamato battleship, but also about the Japanese Navy (during the Pacific War) and all the materials about the warships built in Kure, as well as about submarines...
I'm not very interested in the military, but it's good to kill time on rainy days.
As soon as you entered, you saw a model of the Yamato battleship, and then the exhibition area started from the first floor and went up, introducing the history of Kure City and the history of the Yamato.
A very detailed exhibition, the Yamato is very spectacular. It is worth visiting to learn about its history and development, and it is also suitable for the whole family to learn! Using klook is slightly cheaper than buying tickets on site, so it is worth recommending.
The 1/10 scale model of the Battleship Yamato was impressive and wonderful. It was a good opportunity to think about war and peace. I took my elementary school and junior high school students there, and I think it was a good opportunity for them to think about peace again while remembering what they learned at school.
The highlights are the large exhibits of Yamato models and Zero fighters. The atrium extends to the third floor, so you can get a good view of the deck of the Yamato from above. Personally, I would be happy if there were more exhibits related to the shipbuilding process. The third floor is a place for children to relax.
