Zaanse Schans and Giethoorn Day Tour with Hotel Pick Up and Boat

A 10/10 experience, coming from a female solo traveller! It may be more exp than the rest but it’s worth every penny. there is only a small group of us (8 pax) and the guide (Reinier) will take care of you from the start to the end, from preparing water bottles, picking you up directly from the hotel, preparing powerbank, wifi and everything! he makes sure we go early enough to avoid the crowd and get good pictures (he knows the best spots for pics). As compared to a large bus tour, this is a curated tour for smaller groups to understand the history of the places, and this tour includes the additional Lego House in Zandaam and most importantly Giethoorn which is a MUST go cause it’s so charming. I cannot recommend this tour and the tour guide Reiner enough!

Awesome experience. We were very lucky to have the sun out in this gloomier season, while enjoying the sights of Zaans Schans and Giethoorn at its fullest. The tour guide is not only knowledgable, witty and patient, he is also an all in one, being our minivan driver and our boat tour driver at the same time throughout this whole tour. Highly recommended if you are looking for a relaxing tour.

We wanted to visit both Zaanse Schans and Giethoorn in one day, and this tour turned out to be the perfect choice. Despite the very classic Dutch weather, our whole family had an amazing time! The tour provided plenty of time at each stop to wander, take photos, and enjoy the scenery without feeling rushed. Our guide, Liedse, was an absolute delight! He was very friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable! He kept things engaging the entire day and knew multiple languages for everyone on board. We walked away knowing so much more about the Netherlands thanks to him! He also communicated really well about pick-up times and introduced himself the day before the tour! The transportation was spacious, comfortable, and felt very safe throughout the journey. Overall, a very well-organized tour and a really memorable way to experience two beautiful places in one day!

The places are very beautiful and complemented by the weather which was nice and sunny at times. 1. Giethorn is a beautiful village around lake which is best navigated through boat or a leisure walk. Although, it would be amazing to stay overnight and enjoy the place and scenic beauty. 2. Zaanse Schans was a historic village with windmills, wood shoe and cheese factories. Wind Mills needed a separe ticket. Simon (Guide amd driver) was friendly with a lot of stories about the place.

Our tour guide, Suri, arrived punctually at the designated pick-up location. After we set off and before we dozed off, he enthusiastically introduced us to the Netherlands' national background and cultural knowledge. Upon arriving at Giethoorn, we embarked on a boat tour. Because we arrived early, there were hardly any other boats on the canals, making for a particularly smooth ride. Suri thoughtfully allowed us to experience a short segment of driving the boat ourselves. At Zaanse Schans, Suri led us on a tour of all the major attractions, carefully taking photos for us to commemorate the experience. His attentive and professional service brought our day trip in the Netherlands to a perfect conclusion.

Our guide Eric is amazing. He is very nice, funny, polite, and especially informative when it comes to introducing Netherlands and the places knowledge. and a great driver as well. Zaanse Schans is beautiful, offering a chance to taste different cheeses and watch clog making—a truly unique experience. Cruising through the canals of Giethoorn in a small boat was refreshing! Our guide, Simon, was especially thoughtful in planning the itinerary, helping us avoid crowds at every attraction. His clear explanations along the way deepened my understanding of Amsterdam. We went to Zaanse Schans and Giethoorn during the off-season. Klook and the local travel agency specially arranged a small, exclusive tour for just two groups of us, along with another group of two people, which doubled our comfort level! We traveled to these two places in a Mercedes van. Our tour guide, Su Rui, introduced the scenery along the way and shared Dutch cultural knowledge. The overall experience was excellent. Because we also chose hotel pick-up and drop-off, the whole day was really relaxing and enjoyable, and we completed this day trip! 👍🏻 Highly recommended!

I was very satisfied with this experience. The 9-seater Benz van was very comfortable. The scenery in Zaanse Schans and Giethoorn was beautiful, like a fairytale world. The tour guide provided detailed explanations and made thoughtful arrangements. Highly recommended.

I was hesitant to book this tour because there weren't any Korean reviews, but I'm glad I did. It's a small group tour, so it's a bit pricey, but it was nice to travel comfortably by car. I also liked that there was free time in between, and it's a good tour to take with kids since it only visits Zaanse Schans and Giethoorn. The guide (English) drove the car and the boat and also gave great explanations. I went with my 5-year-old, and they loved the Giethoorn boat tour. Highly recommend!
