Tour guide Gary is very knowledgeable and share a lot of historical context and knowledge during the tour. The lunch dishes was also good tasting and suitable. Pacing of the tour was good and on time.
It was perfect! Jimmy was very attentive, he was a great guide and very friendly! He contacted me the day before to remind me of the appointment, everything went perfectly! I learned so much! I can only recommend it! Thanks again Jimmy for this day that will remain in my memory!
Our tour with Mubus was great! Jay was very responsive on WeChat and even sent a video tutorial showing how to get from the subway to the meeting area. This tour involves a LOT of walking, so please come prepared! I really commend Jay for all his efforts—my mom can’t walk long distances and walks slower than the usual pace, but Jay was extremely patient and often waited for her. Overall, Jay shared many fun facts about the Temple of Heaven, the Lama Temple, and the Summer Palace. He showed great professionalism and dedication, and you can truly see his passion for sharing Chinese culture with others. The Peking Duck lunch was amazing as well! We were completely full, and the meal was delicious. I highly recommend Mobus!
Jay is a very good guide. His English is excellent and easily understood. He shared about the history of Beijing and each attractions we visited. He also shared which angle is best to take photos. He engages well with kids as well as elderly. Every stops didn’t feel like a touch and go as he gave ample time for us to explore. Lunch was provided and very delicious. The tour ended around 5pm and it was already dark. He stayed with all of us until the last of us left in our Didi (transport not included when the tour ended in Summer Palace).
We had such a great time on this tour! Jimmy and his partner from Mubus are absolutely amazing, energetic, and just on top of everything. We had a big group, but they managed it well. Before the tour, I got text messages with all the details — clear instructions on where to meet, what to bring, and what to expect. The meeting time was 8.50a.m., but we arrive early, so don’t just be on time — be early! On the tour, he gave really clear explanations and shared background info about the Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple and the Summer Palace. He is knowledgeable & made the ride both fun and informative. They also provided water bottles. Definitely go for the lunch option! The Peking Duck lunch was delicious & really big portion all the other dishes. Overall, such a well-run, enjoyable tour with amazing guides.
We’re so glad that we booked this tour. Yan was so knowledgeable about the destinations. She and her team made sure we were well taken cared of, that the team is complete and that everyone understood the explanation for each site. This is such a nice experience. We also traveled with our parents who are seniors, they really commended how Yan and team handled this tour. thank youuuu!
Overall, it was okay. We visited all the important landmarks. The time spent at each location could have been a bit longer, but the guide explained everything in great detail. If you want to explore each place thoroughly, I recommend going on your own. However, if you prefer a less detailed visit, this tour is good. There was a boat ride in the afternoon with an extra cost of 100 yuan per person. It was an optional program and just a regular boat ride with explanations in Chinese. Nothing special, just a boat ride that takes you to the Forbidden City, which is a bit more convenient. The views along the way weren't particularly impressive.
Jimmy did a great job narrating the intersting history of the various places. He even sang a love song at the opera house visit. Thank you Jimmy . Those joining this tour must be prepared for the "long walk" as indicated in the notes when signing up for the tour. For safety, I suggest passengers to put on life jacket during the boat ride to Summer Palace.
Had such a great time on this day tour! The guide was super friendly and explained everything really well, making the whole trip fun and interesting. The Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple, and Summer Palace were all beautiful. Such a nice way to spend my first day in Beijing, definitely worth it and would recommend to anyone visiting!
it was a day well spent. Jay was our guide and a few days before the tour, he connected to provide useful information about the tour itself. He also sent a video (made by himself) on how to get to the meetup place - very useful if one gets confused over the subway exits. He spoke good English, provided good insights/history on the places we visited and answered queries. A lot of walking but he was patient and ensured we were all ok, stayed together and nobody was left behind him. The trip took a whole day, ending at the Bird Nest (stadium). Very tiring but rich in history. I like the Summer Palace as the walk around it was was filled w nice scenery. Took the cruise (which was extra) but nothing fantastic, so personally - it can be avoided. Overall, v good tour with very good guide (Jay).
