GreatStayed with partner
Lovely room for a relaxing stay in the New Forest.
The food (dinner and breakfast) was standard hotel food—not bad but not great. The dinner was presented in a gourmet style but of average quality.

GoodStayed with family · For friends and family
This was our second trip to the hotel but this time it appeared a little tired and in need of an update

Lovely property, beautiful location.
Very comfortable bed, good parking and ev charging available.
Room was quite hot (fan supplied but only a small window) and bathroom layout a bit awkward.
Ensuring meals and drinks were correctly added to rooms was a bit disorganised - could do with a signing policy. Breakfast also a little chaotic, though a good choice.

FantasticStayed with kids
Lovely stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained throughout our visit. The back lawn/outdoor area was absolutely lovely and very relaxing, with a great atmosphere.
Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful despite it being an extremely busy bank holiday weekend.
The food was really good throughout our stay and the bar area was a great place to unwind in the evening.
Would certainly return.

The hotel was lovely, excellent position, our room was at the front brilliant for watching ponies and cows wandering outside. We ate in the bar the staff and food were lovely

FantasticStayed with kids
The hotel was lovely and welcoming. The staff couldn’t do enough to help and the night staff even keep the bar open as long as you want. The room was very pleasant, clean, and comfortable. The bar could use some more “bar friendly” seating rather than tables like a restaurant but this is a very small “not perfect” to call out. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I would eagerly return. Set in one of the nicest parts of the country with beautiful surroundings.

Great Very clean room. Pleasant staff. Nice outside space. Food a bit pricey, so didn’t eat in the restaurant. Breakfast £17. I had the full English which was cooked to order, so it was hot and cooked properly. Beer £5 a pint, so swings and roundabouts. Overall a good place to stay. Easy walk into centre of Brockenhurst past ponies and a solitary cow.

FantasticSolo stay
A lovely hotel and very accommodating. They were happy to store my bike for me overnight and looked after my bag before and after check in. A great selection on the tea tray and a lovely touch with the radio in the room playing classical music when I arrived. It was a relaxing stay

I still love the hotel and its location. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The one thing that lets the hotel down is the vast amount of dogs staying. I love dogs, but when you only have a weekend away, to hear a dog howling next door isn’t very relaxing. I think it great people can take their pets with them but maybe there should be a limit of the amount allowed as it appears to have increased quite a lot over the years.
The room was lovely and clean, but we ran out of toilet paper and had no hand towels on our second day. All of which I’m certain would have been rectified immediately had a asked!
Overall well worth a visit. Thank you
