Mostly loved our stay at the Dalmahoy. The staff is very helpful . We had two young kids and they both loved the property . There are lots of things for young kids to do . The morning breakfast is a proper English affair and is sumptuous . Things that can be better. Rooms don’t have AC and so we had to crank open the windows because it got pretty hot in the summer . Don’t think this will be a problem most of the time, but was definitely a surprise . The staff was helpful in getting us an additional fan into the room. Lastly , we didn’t plan to have a car while traveling through Edinburgh. There is a bus right outside the gate of Dalmahoy and that is around a half mile walk from the room to the bus stop. So if you can’t walk much, that is something you should consider. All in all, we loved our stay here and would love to stay again
