Good
The room was clean, the staff was kind and helpful, parking was convenient. Everything in the room worked, including a microwave, stove, and refrigerator. Many amenities for the price and location. That said you would think it deserves 5-stars. The problem is that the hotel is a rough around the edges, and at least on the 1st floor provides housing for folks who might otherwise be homeless. This seems to have drawn a somewhat sketchy crowd that hangs out outside the door, and the front door has an extra lock on it, adding a layer of difficulty in entering. The office manager quite often saw of coming and would come open the door for us. She was very nice! So if you know what you are getting and are comfortable with the situation, the price is a bargain for the location.

Отзывчивый персонал, чистый номер, есть все необходимое в номере, даже прачечная на этаже. Но возле здания отеля часто сидят бездомные.

Upon arrival it was noted the building is not as advertised. We would base it as a shelter at best. No one answered the bell for check in and we choose to just leave rather then even try to stay there. Buyer beware!

Great
Very basic but it served the purpose. There was no amenities to speak of but the location was good. No room service or restaurant. There is an elevator. Good parking close to down town Toronto (10 minutes).

Good
First, the good: the room was clean and reasonably well maintained. We had no concerns about bedbugs, dirt, or general cleanliness. The accommodations were quite spartan, but acceptable for a quick overnight stay. The main problem was the surrounding neighbourhood. There were many homeless people and transients nearby, and even though our room was on the sixth floor, we could still hear people outside shouting and swearing at various hours of the day and night. As a solo traveller, I probably would have rolled with the punches, but I was travelling with my 11-year-old daughter and did not feel entirely comfortable. For a brief, inexpensive overnight stay in Toronto, it may be adequate, but it is definitely not for the faint of heart and would not be my first choice for families.

Fantastic
I stayed here with my two daughters for a concert. It was affordable and not my first time in Toronto. It’s not far from attractions, off Queen Street East Don’t expect a five star hotel at this less expensive price. It’s a clean place to lay your head. The beds and sheets were clean and the mattresses very comfortable!

Not what I expected. Saw average of 7\10 on over 1000 ratings, but when we got there we saw a few people doing drugs out of a glass pipe (crack?), the doors had duck tape attend the handles and were locked. The manager came to unlock the door for us (at least the doors locked. It was just a bit awkward waiting outside with the people doing drugs). They charged extra for our kid as a 3rd person (I didn't see anything on Expedia letting us know about this.) The room was hot even with air conditioning on. The manager did bring us a small fan when I called, so that helped. Not about the hotel, but the next day we saw the nearby Alexandra Park with kids playing, people exercising to music, and several more druggies, it was an interesting mix that just didn't feel the safest for my family.
