Really impressed with our stay here. The room was huge and far more spacious than we expected, as well as beautifully presented and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay and went out of their way to assist us, even patiently persevering with a translation app to make sure we understood everything and had what we needed. Such lovely service and it made a big difference to our experience. The only slight downside was the carpet had a few stains, however the room was very clean. Excellent location in Gion and would definitely stay again.

Fantastic
Booked the large executive suite, and it was great to have the experience of a full apartment in the middle of the historic district. Carpet was a bit worn, but the overall room was wonderful, and they provided coffee, tea, a beer, and bottled water. Perfect, perfect location in the heart of Gion. Walkable to everything we wanted to do.

This hotel is in a great location in Gion, we found is easily using google maps. The staff are lovely but their English is limited so communication was a bit tricky. Also, be mindful of a pricey tourist fee. This was the only hotel that charged it and for reference we paid 25,000 JPY for 5 nights. The suite itself (room 401) was very spacious, especially having come from Tokyo where our room was tiny. Our suite had two bedrooms, one modern and one Japanese, which was fantastic. There were two sitting areas, and we even had a whole room for just luggage. We had three suitcases and two big backpacks. The minibar was refilled daily with water, Asahi iced tea, beer, and Coke. The shower and Japanese bath were fantastic additions. The amenities were great too, and towels were changed daily. The space was clean but very dark. There’s little to no natural lighting, weirdly, and for a hotel that claims to be 5*, I wouldn’t expect stained carpets. There was an outdated feel to the suite, but the Japanese element (second bedroom) made up for it. Be mindful of this if you are someone who enjoys a modern aesthetic.

Fantastic
We loved Kizashi The Suite. We wanted a hotel with a Japanese feel and it certainly didn’t disappoint. It was well equipped and we loved the wooden bath. The location was superb and the staff were extremely helpful in booking taxis etc.

The desk was broken and the outside balcony had some kind of curtains that were broken. Look very outdated. Bed was nice and comfortable, very good size room. I mentioned my silver status as was required by Expedia but nothing happened. Over all was a good stay and a clean room. The location is great!

Great

We enjoyed this hotel for its traditional Japanese style. The room was clean but the conditions of the carpet and other furniture was run down and needed to be updated. The staff was kind though their English wasn’t too great. The location was perfect and Kyoto was an amazing city

It was really nice. Close to everything. The suite was so big with a living area. The bathroom was really big and the jacuzzi was a convenience! After a day of walking the bathtub was a respite for tired muscles. No need for onsen! I will definitely stay here when in Gion/ Kyoto area.
