I was very surprised at the lack of quality. We recently stayed in a hotel in northern PA that cost less than $40 and it was better than the room we had here. There was no microwave or blow dryer, although the holder for one was on the wall. Two of the drawers were broken. We were given TWO bath towels. No hand towels, no wash cloths and nothing to put on the floor for stepping out of the shower. I found hair all around the tub area and the, I can’t even say hot, water was JUST warm. Lastly, you had to be careful leaving their parking lot so that your car didn’t end up in the HUGE holes in their driveway. I picked Red Roof because many family members, including myself, have stayed in their inns in the past and were pleased. Do yourself a favor and spend an extra few dollars, and there’s not a big price difference, to stay someplace else, I know I will from now on.

We found ourselves in need of a room at the last minute and booked the same day we arrived. They charged us $499 for a small queen size room. There were no towels, no amenities of any kind (shampoo, soap, body wash). There was neither a microwave nor a coffee maker. No cups of any kind to use while brushing teeth. We went downstairs to the coffee station and they had no cups either. I guess you were supposed to pour the coffee into your hand. The elevator was dirty and smelly and the carpet in the hallway was filthy. There was no chair at the desk, and I called down and asked for one. The faucet in the bathroom had something black caked around it. I hope it wasn't mold. The bedspread and the lampshade had the same brown stain on it- I hope it wasn't blood. The HVAC was abysmal. The room was uncomfortably hot. Turning on the AC was like having someone blow on you. It took over an hour for it to get remotely cool. The spread was so thin it was like having 2 sheets on the bed. Pieces of the light fixture in the bathroom were stashed under the sink. When we had towels brought up, there were no washcloths and the towels were so thin you had to use 2 to get dry, but we only had 2 for the 2 of is. There was no bathmat so to avoid slipping when we got out of the shower we used one of the precious towels. The driveway out to McKnight Rd had n 18" pothole complete with a dead, dessicated animal. I was charged Mariott prices for a Motel 6 experience.

Faucet handle came off with first use. Tried putting it back on. Water would not stop running, called staff and they couldn’t fix it so they just turned the water off to the faucet and was told to use the water out of the tub to wash hands. AC did not work. Hotel seemed to be rundown. No microwave or no mini fridge in the room. Highly do not recommend.

I had a reservation and upon arrival, I was informed that my stay was no longer available and was told that I booked the wrong room. The staff claimed I had never booked a double, despite me providing my reservation confirmation and receipt clearly showing that I had. The room that they had on file for me would have been acceptable if I had been traveling alone. However, I had plans with a friend, and the room did not meet our needs. The hotel refused to honor my confirmed reservation or provide a suitable accommodation, leaving us with no choice but to drive around town searching for another hotel. To make matters worse, I have not received a refund, and the hotel refused to cancel the reservation. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled and will never book with them again!

Gave away our room because we went to check in after midnight. We called to inform them that morning that we would be a late arrival after a concert. They stated that was fine. When we got there the person working the front desk said we should have assumed arriving after midnight was not okay…it was honestly a nightmare. Hotels.com wasn’t helpful either. Told us they could not help up find an alternative place to stay. 12:15 am, 3 hours from home, after standing outside in 80 degrees/sun at a concert for 6 plus hours. Horrible. Will NOT be staying at a red roof inn ever again or using hotels.com to help with booking.
