Clean room and more spacious than expected. Only thing was fire alarm goes off if shower too hot bc there’s no fan.

The room was very cute but claustrophobic. The bathroom was bad. My 5ft. 95 lb. body could not move in there , and very poor lighting. Loud rumbling noises, broken mirror in the bathroom. Just not kept up well. Its a shame. Good location. Got to get their act together. I will not go back.

Perfectly located an easy walk from the Penn Station, and in the middle of public transportation, this well-run hotel is a gem! Caring staff, great rooms, interesting history, we really love staying here!

The highlight of the service here was Aziz. He's a great guy who is so helpful, kind, warm and welcoming. He got us our bags and made sure we had what we needed in our room. The second guy who brought our luggage when leaving was also great and helpful. Didn’t catch his name- glasses and spoke Spanish. Women at front desk were okay. Nothing extra.

I understand that hotels in Manhattan are expensive and that older buildings are common due to the unique circumstances of the city. I can accept an older building, but there are basic standards that every hotel should meet, and this hotel failed to deliver on many of them. The air conditioner was extremely old and unbelievably loud. It was so noisy that I couldn't get any proper sleep during my stay. Two light bulbs were missing from the main ceiling light in the room, making the room unnecessarily dim. The elevator was also so poorly lit that it was difficult to see and press the correct floor button. After 10:00 PM, one of the hotel's two elevators was taken out of service, causing unnecessary delays and inconvenience. The shower had no soap provided, which is a basic necessity that every hotel should supply. The ice machine was also out of order. Visiting in the middle of July, when temperatures are high, not having access to ice was extremely disappointingThis is not a budget hotel. Guests are paying premium Manhattan price, so these are not minor issues—they are basic expectations. There is no excuse for poor maintenance and a lack of attention to essential guest needs. The hotel should fix these problems instead of expecting guests to simply accept them.

Great boutique hotel!

The property was very unique and had nice size rooms. The room was very clean and it had a nice large bathroom. It did not have an iron or ironing board and no coffee makers in room. It was in a great location and had a nice restuarant and bar attached.

The staff was great, the room was very clean. The location was perfect!

Check in was seamless . Room was nice .only floor was a little dusty but was ok. The morning free coffee was good too. The staff service is excellent. Nice comfy beds and clean toilet. Location was good .lots of food , eateries, pubs , shopping and short walk to madison square .

We love this hotel for its great location that is central to a lot of attractions. We want to give a special shout out to Chris, who we are very grateful for, as he went above and beyond to ensure that we would have a great stay. Overall, this hotel is a great option if you’re looking for a place to stay in NYC.
