This was our favorite hotel of our trip to Japan this week. We arrived late after a shinkansen delay, but they helped us get checked in and out bags we had shipped were waiting in our room. We were traveling as a large family group of 4 but even with 4 beds the room was spacious enough we didn't feel cramped. Breakfast was probably our favorite of the trip as well. All of the buffet food was fresh and delicious. There was a mix of Western and Asian food choices. A matcha set was provided for those inclined and the service was excellent. One of our party was able to schedule an in room massage after walking around all day, she raved about the service! Recommending it as well. We liked this hotel so much we tried to extend our stay, but unfortunately there was no availability. Next time we come to Kyoto this one is definitely on the list!

The hotel is quite good in term of quality however a bit dated with well maintained. The onsen is pretty small compare to hotel's scale.

Close to transport, a perfect base for a 4 day stay in Kyoto. Friendly and attentive staff, clean rooms and great attention to detail. The spa is awesome.

amazing ontsen. unfortunately no gym, but I’ve learnt this is normal in Japan. my suggestion for the hotel would be to offer preferential rates for accessing nearby gyms.
