5 stars for its location. A little walk from the subway but when you reach the main street before arriving at the hotel, it is one of the main streets of kyoto and when you go straight, youl reach kyoto's main attractions-the Gion district. For first-time Japan travelers, we didn't expect much from a hotel that is very cheap as long as it has the basic necessities and facilities we need. But staying in this hotel exceeds our expectations. My wife and I are both asians and the room we booked is just enough for us. The nice thing about hotels in Japan is their ample but very functional bathrooms, automatic water closet. This is the expected price range of hotels in japan especially if you are just using it to sleep and then move to another attractions. Toiletries are abundant, you can always refill and get them in the counter. The laundry is self-service so bring a phone with translator to operated them.

The hotel is very accessible, near nishiki market. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. They help us whenever we asked for directions. It is near the bus stop and subways. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel whenever you visit kyoto
