GreatSolo stay
I stopped here for one night so I could get an early start for Goodwood FOS, the room was clean and the staff were friendly. My room had an en suite with toilet and shower and there were breakfast items available down the hallway, though I didn't have time. There was a slight mix up were I was asked to pay on arrival but I had already paid in advance, however this was quickly rectified and I was refunded. Overall a good budget friendly option for Goodwood events as well as being close to Portsmouth. There is parking available at the rear, although I parked on the street with no issues.

GoodSolo stay
The bedding and towels were lovely and clean, couldn't fault.
The shower tray left a lot to be desired, along with the shower mat and windowsill.
There was no way of opening/closing the windows as they were too high. The same with the curtains. A long bamboo rod attached to the top could help with opening/closing?
Staff? Hardley saw a soul in the 4 days I was there.
The breakfast was sufficient for what I needed.

FantasticSolo stay
A lovely stay at Spring Gsrden.
They are having some renovations done on ground floor so ignore the review regarding the boarded up windows, if the person had asked they’d have found a lovely owner who is very friendly and can’t do enough to help if needed.
It’s a listed building from 1840 with loads of history so any changes take time. I’m so pleased I took time to have a chat with the owner who is very passionate about the area.
The bar and pool table are no longer at the property, not a big loss for me personally and means one more room available to book in future.
Room was nice size and for the price you really cannot complain.
Thank you and I will be back!
