Staff: very excellent, room: very cleaned. Parking: awesome đź‘Ś. I didn't have breakfast there. I am quite happy with everything. I will come back again.

We stayed here for one night. Found the place clean, but in need of a bit of maintenance. It def needs upgrading. Why I rated it so low, was that there was no hot water in the shower. We complained to a man at the counter that night and he didnt really seem to care or give a proper reason and just said its probably cos others have had a shower at the same time and to try again later and in the morning. We tried again later and in the morning and there was still no hot water. The room we had (room 18) was also right next to the stairs. It was me and my small son who goes to sleep early, and all day and late evening we heard people running up and down the stairs constantly. We did ask to change rooms, but unfortunately no rooms available. So suggestion if staying with small kids to ask to not be in room 18. Otherwise lady at reception was nice and offered breakfast as we were leaving for compensation for having no hot water. We unfortunately were leaving so didnt take up the offer.

It was a cheap option for us. Tvs weren't working at all, which we were informed of. Fridge was noisy at night and the bed was very soft. Also the shower temperature was not very warm. The room itself was clean and warm and the staff were excellent.

The parking was very convenient and close to town center ,walkable.The staff were all very welcoming and helpful.Although we didnt have in house breakfast, it all appeared welcoming.Our room was well maintained beds cery comfortable.

We were a bit annoyed about breakfast as last time our breakfast was included in the price but they are now charging for breakfasts had we known that we would have eaten more than the bowl of muesli and two pieces of toast we had for $28.00!!!!

Took the kids away for Mother’s Day escape and we absolutely loved it. Staff are amazing and the room was so clean and perfect for us. Highly recommend for an easy trip away with kiddies.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights and was very satisfied. We didn’t make use of the amenities so I am not able to comment on them. The term “Resort” is a little misleading however as for hotel accommodation, it is good. While a little dated, the Methven Resort has all that is needed for a comfortable stay. Our room was spacious, bed comfortable and bathroom was clean. The hotel is located a short 5 minute walk into the town centre. It has ample parking. We were located on the ground floor and could see the mountains from our room window over the rear car park. Overall, it was clean and tidy. I would stay at the Methven Resort again.
