Very charming hotel, very clean, and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good, but get there early as they do run out of some things. The lounge area was nice for relaxing, and there is a little outdoor seating area that was very pleasant. Great location for exploring Royal Mile and surrounding area.

Our stay at the Royal Scots Club was excellent from beginning to end. The building is full of character, combining historic charm with modern comfort. The location is ideal—on a quiet street, yet within easy walking distance of Edinburgh’s major sights. The staff was consistently professional, courteous, and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, and attractive, and the breakfasts were very good with a nice selection each morning. We would gladly stay at the Royal Scots Club again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located place to stay while visiting Edinburgh.

Fantastic

Stayed with kids

We stayed in the family suite which had a double and 2 singles. The room had lots of floor space, so it made it comfortable to stay in for a week. There was also a seating area with three chairs and a table as well as a desk. We appreciated the three drawer dresser so that we could unpack and not live out of suitcases for the week. The bathroom was large with all of the necessary as well as a additional amenities. Our room had a coffee maker and a kettle as well as tea, coffee, and hot chocolate and cookies. Housekeeping was very thorough and our room was cleaned each day. The beds were comfortable and the towels were very large and soft. The location of this hotel is ideal. A short walk to Old Town as well as places to explore in New Town. Quick access to buses to the airport. There were lots of cafes and restaurants around the hotel as well as a private park to access across the street. This hotel also serves as a private club for veterans so it has lots of amenities like a restaurant and a bar and lots of history to explore. It is in a quiet neighborhood away from the tourists but is still well located for quick access to major sites. We visited during a hot spell, and the room did get warm but there was a fan and if you open the windows it was still quite comfortable.
