Leonardo’s Last Supper Museum in Milan, also known as the Cenacolo Vinciano Museum, is home to one of the world’s most famous paintings, The Last Supper, painted by Leonardo da Vinci more than 500 years ago. This amazing mural covers an entire wall inside the refectory of the beautiful Santa Maria delle Grazie church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Leonardo da Vinci used a special painting method, mixing tempera and oil on plaster, which made the artwork fragile but also unique. Over the years, the painting faced damage, even during World War II, but careful restorations have saved it for us to enjoy today.  When you visit, you’ll get to see the incredible detail, emotion, and perspective up close, something photos can never capture. Nearby, you can explore the historic church and learn about its rich past. Book your Last Supper Museum tickets and experience art, history, and Italian culture all in one!

Our guide, Sarah, was very informative and friendly. She was very accommodating of the tour group and answered questions patiently. Our driver, Donato, was an expert driver. He can get past any tight curve or alley without a scratch! Quick, easy and hassle-free booking. Started at 8am, and finished by 6:20pm. Took a private boat around Lake Como, a public ferry to go to Bellagio and the bus/transport to Como City proper. Had ample time to walk around Bellagio and Como City. Though I would prefer to have a longer time for lunch at Bellagio because most of the restaurants open at 12nn, we arrived at 11am and stayed only until 1pm. Overall a good experience and would recommend the tour to anyone!

Buy Milan Cathedral tickets + rooftop and museum admission on Klook. You don't need to exchange tickets. You can just scan the QR code on the voucher. It is very convenient. You queue up at gate2 to wait for security check and enter. The staff arranges to take the elevator directly to the roof, and then walk down the stairs to visit the interior of the cathedral.

See The Last Supper up close

This is the highlight of your visit to The Last Supper Museum! You'll get about 15 minutes to stand in front of Leonardo da Vinci's famous mural, The Last Supper.

Seeing it up close lets you notice the emotion, movement, and detail in each figure, which is even more amazing knowing it was painted over 500 years ago. The painting is huge and takes up an entire wall, and it's way more powerful in person than in photos. Don't forget to also look at the opposite wall, where you'll see another masterpiece-- a Crucifixion fresco by Giovanni Donato da Montorfano.

Learn how Da Vinci painted The Last Supper

Curious about how Da Vinci created his famous mural? Find out how he used a special technique, which is painting on dry plaster instead of wet plaster, a technique that abandons the traditional fresco painting method. You'll also learn why the painting started to fade and how experts and art historians have worked hard to save it. It's a cool look into the art and science behind this masterpiece.

Check out the refectory

Visit the refectory, the old dining hall where The Last Supper was painted right on the wall. It's amazing to stand in the same room where this historic moment was captured. The space is peaceful and full of history, making the artwork feel even more powerful.

Visit the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie

Want to see more than just The Last Supper? Drop by the beautiful Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, right next to The Last Supper Museum. Inside, you'll see the stunning architecture and historic details from the Renaissance period. Plus, you'll get a feel for the world Da Vinci lived in.
