Things to do in Vatican Museums

Martina was our guide. It was a wonderful good to get a skip the line ticket in the Jubilee year. We learned alot from Martina who radiated infectious energy! 100% recommend people who’d like to visit the Vatican museum to sign up for this tour. I wish the trip to St Peter’s basilica was guided too.

1) Buying tickets in advance really eliminates the hassle of queuing. Although there were still a lot of people there, at least not having to queue to buy tickets was very convenient. 2) Our session was at 16:30. When we arrived half an hour early, the staff wouldn't let us enter the security check early. So even if the official website says to arrive early, just take it as a suggestion, as you still need to arrive at the scheduled time to be allowed in. 3) I recommend allocating 4 hours for this trip, because the museum is really big and there are a lot of things to see, so be sure to allow enough time!

I booked for 3 PM, but I didn't expect such a loooooong line outside the museum. Luckily, I bought a fast-track ticket and got into the museum smoothly after ticket and ID verification. The museum has a rich collection, and there are many visitors, so allow at least 2-3 hours for your visit.

We had Anna as our guide, and she was SO knowledgeable and professional, we absolutely loved our tour. She knew how to unpack history in an engaging way and was just so well knowledged! We're grateful we got Anna for our tour!

Looking from the start of the Bridge of Angels, the castle is magnificent! And looking down at the Bridge of Angels from the top of the Castel Sant'Angelo offers a different view altogether.

Climbing to the top of the dome to overlook the entire Vatican City is absolutely breathtaking. The murals and sculptures inside St. Peter's Basilica are stunning, you won't want to blink! These sights truly need to be seen in person – photos only capture a fraction of their beauty.

If I could give this 10 stars, I would. Anna (tour guide) & Chris were amazing. Tour was through and efficient. A non-negotiable! Couldn’t recommend this tour enough :)
